i tried this as much as i could but not seeing what you did because of the big hair etc made it very difficult...as soon as i try to crop in effects/transitions and transform all i get is it trying to make a smaller image (box) inside the other image?? i have adobe 3.0 also how do you change the settings on the crop thingy??

It depends what version you are using, I know how to do it in 4.0, it might be the same in yours though. Once you apply the crop effect, look for a button that says "edit effect" or "edit settings", something like that. You should then be able to use sliders to resize it properly.

sorry for responding so late but the way you do this is by

1) first click on the timeline where ever you want to place the other clip

2) then get the other clip and drag it onto the monitor (screen of adobe premiere elements)but when you do this hold shift, and once your over the monitor let go of shift, once this happens it should say place on top of clip, then click that.

alright here are the steps this will probably help

1) record your self in 2 different positions do not move the camera

2) place the 2 clips over each other

(you do this by placing one clip on the time line, then grab the other and place it over the screen hold shift then let go of the clip)

3) click on clip 2(video 2) and go to video editing and

transitions click on transform and pick crop and crop the second

clip

if your losing the audio then i would suggest thatyou either check the audio(raise it, make sure its not deleted,ect) or its you computer thats just lagging
