so at my school it was very different from teacher to teacher what happened when you were late. some didn't even say anything, some teachers locked the classroom door so you couldn't get in any more... ^^ i don't have any experience with english schools, but i stayed in the US for half a year and there it goes into your report card when you're late...
seriously. I live in germany and my bus for school has to arrive at 7:12...so basically, I am really happy when the bus arrives at 7:30...in the other case, I have to wait for the second bus, 7:54, which arrives at 8:15...so I am always late. ohh..in winter it's even worse, obviously.
BWAHAHAHA!!!!!! I remember being late for a doctor's appointment by about five minutes, and he just kinda sat and glared at me for a while. Yes, in germany, be EARLY. If you're on time, you're probably bound to be late. Lessons carefully learned. XD
When I was like in secondary school they demanded a vaild reason or a permission slip from either your parents, guardien or doctors/hospital note as to why you were late. The only time they didn't do this was when it snowed or was icy. But I think it is different for every school. When I stayed in Germany for two weeks I was amazed at the public transport, it arrived on time and set off at the right time, amazing :D
For the most part I'm always on time since I'm not doing anything :) haha. But now I have a job so I have to abandon YouTube for a week then catch up on the weekends. YouTube is what I love doing so it's hard being away for so long :(
I used to be an hour late every single day when I went to school, I never got told off! even at uni, people stroll in 40 minutes late and the lecturer doesnt care!
