Wow, such a gorgeous video and song pairing! The last scene of Carole leaving her home and waving gave me a chill. She passed away 70 years ago on the 16th, yet it still hurts so much. Gable and Lombard....two of the most gorgeous people to ever grace the screen. Thanks for this

This was the great tragedy of Gable's life. He and Lombard were soulmates; he never quite got over losing her. "Fire and Rain," one of the great American popular songs, was an excellent choice for this video. Bravo.
Such a beautiful hollywood couple. Poor Clark was never the same after losing Carole. There were dozens of women in his life, but none ever like Carole. She was the love of his life. He was quoted as saying that Carole was special. And it's so true. She was loved and missed by so many. I hope she was there to welcome Clark in to the pearly gates. She certainly had the looks of an angel, that's for sure! :)
when clark got old, he looked so much different.... she was beautiful. thats how we'll always remember her. young, classy, beautiful. its still a tragic loss, but she was a picture of loveliness when she left us. She never got old... and i guess in our hearts, thats a good way to remember her. young, talented and doing what she loved...
Checked this morning and a miracle occurred since last night, the audio is back!!! I'm so glad I got to see AND hear this, Jen, it's WONDERFUL! Big smile on my face this morning!!!

Avoid WMG music. They won't allow it on YT and have software in place to block it. Plenty of my friends who post old records like I do have their videos blocked if WMG owns the copyright. There is a ton of great music out there that is not locked down, like anything by Universal Music Group.
