I will watch it. There probably won't be a big budget live action Sinbad film for quite a while, and the creatures are far better than the horrid TV cgi for Sinbad and the Minotaur. About the teaser/trailer, many trailers for great movies suck, and many bad movies have great trailers (Transformers 2 etc). It looks cheap because it is, but I think the budget would force a greater emphasis on storytelling than the average Hollywood fare.

I'll be honest... I really respect what Harryhausen did for SFX in the film industry, but I think it did more than a respectful job as a first step - not as something to re-use out of nostalgia's sake. I love the sword and sandal/1001 nights genre, but I feel this film is not classy retro. Nothing that I've seen so far from this film production (not just this trailer) was capable of rousing me for a tiny bit. No disrespect intended, but I can't shake the hollow feeling from watching this.

I miss the Sinbad movies. I read Sinbad and Eye of the Tiger five times in a few years after the movie came out. We used to paint that eye on our hands from Golden Voyage of Sinbad! Can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK, so there is a large group of people who have not seen the Harryhausen films. You can't just run a disclaimer at the beginning of this movie and say "You people are shitheads if you can't see that this is a retro-style". you can entertain these people with some DAMN GOOD stop-motion. And it is possible if you have talented people. I'm excited about this movie because I love the old Sinbad movies, but I wont lie it JUST because it has stop motion. don't just coast thu this.

It is a legitimate trailer, but was put together before principle photography began - so you don't see any big action scenes yet. The shots were done for this trailer, but I don't know which of them will be used in the actual film. Most or all of the live action shoot has now been finished and the special effects and creature animation have begun. There's going to be a lot in it, so it may take a while - I don't know when the planned release date is.

It's the story of his fifth voyage, not the fifth film made.

Although, it probably won't bear much resemblance to the 5th voyage from the original Arabian Nights tales, but take elements from other voyages and the writer's own imagination, just as Ray's films did.

I love old school animation . The hand made attention to detail has always amazed me. And it's a nice break from the CGI overkill that I've seen in other films. I like CGI but it's nice to go back to the original techniques that started it all. I'd see this movie.

Cool concept, the artistry is pretty good, but in HD too (or higher quality than before) and back to the old school claymation look. Patrick Stewart narration and arabian nights music. This is what Prince of Persia film should've been! Lets see if these concepts are used to their full potential.

Filmed using Dynamation! Awesome! The ultimate tribute to Ray Harryhausen. I remember seeing a clip of Ray saying that Stop Motion adds more of a "Fantasy" feeling to a film and i agree. I can't wait to see this.
