Imagine oil is running out fast and shit countries are rich thanks to it, democracy is in trouble.
This kind of reactor (cheap, safe yet powerful) would be a revolutionary move (for democracy, humanity, development, environment) in recent years!

There is a technology that is already proven that can burn this waste without reinventing the wheel. LFTR Thorium reactors.

@aloisgault LFTR is interesting, but it requires continuous reprocessing and it can't burn our stocks of trans-uranic waste unless it's a fast reactor

He did word it poorly, but I think it was clear enough what he meant. He's clearly talking about an equal volume of nuclear fuel vs. coal.
