But the count had changed! The count was now 1-2 for each hand. The third count, going in the back, is used as transition to change sides, as you can see in this video at 2:15. Thanks again, from Montreal Canada. - Sorry for the multiple posts: There is a "Error, try again" when posting comments. Youtube bug problem as I read...
Thank you for your tutorials. They are well done. For the Reversal Double X, the count 1-2-3 is good to learn each hand separately. I had a hard time putting them together. I was trying to match the 3 moves with each other. Before I gave up for the day I decided to practice randomly the 2 hands together, without really thinking and SLOWLY since I am using octagonal wooden nunchakus, and being carful not to hit elbows. After a while it came out nice and I succeeded. But the count had changed
i love this guy, you are 1 of the best at nunchucks iv ever have seen. iv bin doing this move for a few years but never new what it was called. thanks for the help with learning new moves. peace and love
im struggling with making the transition from behind your back, whipping to the front then where to go from there, chuks tend to lose momentum from change of direction, any tips would be very useful.and thanks for posting tutorials.
17 years? Weren't you born in 1988? You must have been 3 years of age when handling nuchucks. 3 year olds are young and fit! At any rate that I'm wrong, your lack of proper grammar and punctuation usage show that you're not fooling anybody. Before you say that you are a parent, you should have your own account.
Hi this is the first time i have commented but i have been watching for ages.Your just amazing i have just picked up my nunchaks again and i'm back in training after 17 years !!!!, Yes thats 17 years. Thanks
But now seriously, I got a question: Which nunchakus are better for learning these "around the wrist" exercises, these with a chain or these with a string??? (I hope string is the right word, I'm German^^)
Thanks for posting these videos, you make me fall in love with the sport nunchaku-do over and over again!
Kerson, ive been working the chucks for about 25 yrs. I was surprised to come across your videos and see the moves you do, and how you explain the moves ( the slow motions are the best way to learn any move). I watch all your videos, keep up the good work. The reversal double x was my favorite to learn. Thanks Robert.
sorry not coming back to you any sooner, i what to thank you so much for your comments, i have been way cuz i did olpen my school, but soon i will put new material on line.
actually I don't have a spare nunchuck... but I do practice it on but hands so that if I have a spare nunchuck Ill do that. anyways nice technique as well!
I second Rel's comments that the technical names for nunchaku can get long and confusing, but that's cos they're intended as an expandable system to cover all moves - it's much easier to come up with cool names for individual moves. Another good tutorial guys!
Wow, I do that move instinctively and never considered it as part of my move set. Just as a standard part of my base flow. Interesting to see it explained.
Holy JEEZ!! His wife at the end is SUPER Awesome with them too!!!

Cool video. :)
The proper name is double off-timed figure 8 whips by the way. But your name for it is simplier. :)

Thanks! Wow, that's quite a mouthful for a name isn't it? But that is certainly good to know. Thanks for letting us know.
