I enjoy his singing a lot. His performance is mystical and mesmerizing. the Comparison between Nazeri and Shajarian is wrong. Nazeri is the only master of Rumi poems and shajarian is one of the most famous master of Hafes' poems. As an Iranian I respect Nazeri great efforts to transfer love and peace using Iranian music and Molana poems.

Nazeri sings emotionally but not technically. He used to have a better voice 25 yrs ago, when he sang "Az Sedaye Sokhan Eshgh". He has never been the Pavarotti of Iran since the two styles are fundamentally different. Late Pavarotti was a tenor but Iranian classical singers try to cover a wide vocal range. In this, Shajarian has been the most phenomenal and successful singer who could combine poetry emotion with musical techniques and embellish them with his strong voice.

It's about spreading their music to a wider audience. the reason there are barely any Americans at Nazeri concerts is because they don't know anything about the Nazeris. America as you know is useless country when it comes to awareness of other cultures so they need help.

I don't know how they allowed themselves to be dragged into appearing on CNN. The interviewer is clueless...Americans are few and far between at Nazeri concerts.
