"Milk Cow" is actually a bit more "Donovan" and a little less country than much of Greenbaum's work. Check out the "Petaluma" album (some tracks are posted)
I dunno - Spirit In The Sky was SO COOL, and it was so embarrassing to flip the 45 over and have THIS come out of the record player... No. We listened to stuff like Spirit In The Sky so we WOULDN'T have to listen to country music. I think this is the first time I ever heard it all the way through.
@msbfd This is much more like Norman's style than Spirit, which has become iconic. His album, Petaluma was very country/folk, which was his regular style.
This song was on the flip side of Spirit in the sky, in 45 format.

Briliant record, many thanks for posting.
Used to play this full volume to my first wife when she started nagging the backside off me!!!!!!! Loved the record and the fact she hated it.

I'd like to hear Marcie and Tars of India again. Also Good Lookin' Woman.
Heck, I wish you'd just post the whole album. I haven't heard anything by Greenbaum BUT SitS for years.
