I luv this film. Used to watch it to get phsyched up for my karate class. Then my sen-sei would smack me upside the head for making Bruce Lee kung-fu noises. ahh those were the days. Thanks sooo much for this upload.
@Dav777 My pleasure. The tricky thing was, the movie itself is in the Public Domain...but the music in it isn't! LOL! Well, You Tube let me post it anyway. Yeah, this flick brings back fond memories of my youth too (for me, it was tae kwon do class back in the early '80's.)
i loved this film when i was a young boy.. its not the real bruce lee.. this is the best look alike they ever found.. the only look alike that have some of the real style and look like bruce lee.
@fliprack To be fair, this is movie choreography (and old school at that.) I have seen a wing chun sparring session where one guy did double up with one hand, while holding his opponent's hand with the other. (Kind of like "dirty" boxing.) Off subject of wing chun, but still kung fu, I know that choy lay fut practitioners double up with their lead, similar to a double jab.
I,ll Never Understand is in the Late 60,s and Early 70,s Everybody was Trying To beat Bruce and there Was Many Serious Fights on the Sets where the Extra,s would Get really Hurt Too! But why isn,t there ONE Real Fight Captured on FILM?.this Has always Drove Me Crazy!Bruce Lee Beat the Shit out of alot of Guys on the Set and Would Knock Them Out Cold! BUT" why Didn,t One Person get at Least Just ONE Real' Fight on Film? Can You Imagine How Many People Would Love to See This??
Seeing Bruce Lee being portrayed by someone other than Bruce Lee is just weird. I still think Enter the Fat Dragon is the ultimate tribute film, Sammo Hung did an awesome job NOT copying Bruce but really paying homage to him.
I remember this film from my childhood and the voice acting is pure entertainment on this one haha but one question I had one bruce lee movie on castette tape in 1996 I cant remember what its called but I remember it for an iconic scene where bruce lee is kicking big rocks and its to do with some kung fu studio rivalry or something...
i no they wanted to make ho TsungTao the next bruce lee and his facial expression were close and he was a disciple of master ler my favorite was soul brothers of kung fu with carl scott,in this film my favorite scwne was when the american actor told bruce the truth about the film industryits not ur talent thats enough its who u no...master lee had it so hard at 1st....
Does anyone know what music is this at 9.18 I know theres alot of Bob James Music pops up just trying to compile some others....like where his being shown around town at the night life!
@DoctorComics Yep, but one of my favorites, right next to "Game of Death 2" and "Ching Wu and Shaolin." Of course, the much more recent "Bruce Lee My Brother" is pretty good.
@sabinoson i hope you dont mind me asking but i saw one bruceploitation that i can not find.. maybe you can help me.. all i remember is that a girl gets raped by a movie theater owner or something like that.. also.. at the end. there is a girl at a bar talking to a bartender... i can remember the whole story.. i hope you can help me.. Godbless and happy new year.
@DoctorComics Oh, my pleasure to help (if I can.) :-) The movie you're describing sounds like "Bruce Lee, His Last Days, His Last Nights", which starred Betty Ting Pei and Danny Lee and produced by The Shaw Brothers (distributed here by World Northal.)
Okay, I THINK that's the one, but I might be wrong! LOL!
@detgloria Cool. In addition to the great Bruce Lee, Hong Kong turned out many pioneers in martial arts cinema, including Chang Cheh, Lau Kar Leung, King Hu, and of course, Jackie. I envy you for the giants turned out over there. :--) Happy New Year.
@gandillion Me too.Been trying to find this for decades. This movie was actually my introduction to Bruce Lee movies; I didn't see ENTER THE DRAGON until after I watched Bruce Li movies...including THE THREE AVENGERS.Lol.
@ATACXGYMSHAOLIN Same thing with me. This was my "intro" to "Bruce Lee movies." LOL! I did see the real Bruce however, prior to this, on the two part Batman-Green Hornet crossover, but after that, I didn't see the "real" Bruce till I saw "Game of Death" (and even that one had several doubles, including Kim Tai Chung! So maybe my first full on real Bruce movie was "Chinese Connection."
@MrGanjaman68 Hmmm. Fist of Fury 2 that i have also stars Bruce Li (Ho Tsung Tao), but it's basically a sequel to "Fists of Fury" ("Chinese Connection.") titles might be interchangeable when reaching the U.S.
@sabinoson, You are correct i made a mistake mine is called Man The Myth it was in the wrong box lol.
Fist of Fury 2 is where Bruce Li's name in the movie is Chan Shan, I wont put a spoiler saying what the movie is about as it would spoil it for other members.
@MrGanjaman68 Well, I don't think it would spoil it for anyone to know that it's one of a handful of sequels to "Fist of Fury"/"Chinese Connection." One of the others stars Jackie Chan!
@sabinoson I think most people who watch Kung Fu movies already know there are plenty of sequels/spinoffs to Fist of Fury with actors such as Jackie Chan, Donnie Yen, Leung Kar Yan to name a few. There are also plenty of movies that share a connection to the story of Huo Yuan Ja which Fist of Fury is loosely based for example Fist of Fury 1-3, Legend of a Fighter, Fearless and Fist of Fury starring Donnie Yen and lots of others as well.
Thanks for the full upload! I remember seeing this for the first time as a kid and it was the first Bruceploitiation movie not only I ever watched but also introduced me to Bruce Lee. Comparing this to Dragon the Bruce Lee Story or The Legend of Bruce Lee, this movie in my opinion is probably the closest movie that chronicles Bruce's life. :D
