The macro-management aspects of this game are incredible....this feels like what MOO3 should have been on release. Also, the expansion addresses most of the weaker points of the original release (such as research; UI weaknesses).
My only complaint is that the world destroyer doesn't come in blue with power windows...
It looks like EVE Online adopted Time Pilot 1984 and didnt feed it very well.
Sure, EVE is a fucking ruthless bitch which lets asshat 13-year-olds get the best of you on a regular basis, but the one time you make that little bastard cry and rage, it's worth every precious moment
Meh. I dont buy it . Vanillia was to bugged and totally not fun. I know that they patch this and repair many things but still. I expect a lot from this game and vanillia was a total let down.
@Sarissofoi I really liked it, although I didnt get the game until quite late and the latest patch had already been released. I found it to be very stable and a lot of fun. I would be playing it now but Im waiting for the damn expansion to play again ;)
I try this with latest patches. And I can say it still sucks. Nothing really changes for better. They fix some bugs but most of bad things still exist. There is nothing in this game that keep my interest for long and its crude ugly and bad projected. Beta at best. Not mentioning boring. I buy vanillia on first day and that was waste of money. I try have fun with this game and I failed at this. You dont get my money second time.
Hopefully one day this game will have the same recognision as Paradox's strategy games, imo its even superior to their games in many respects, mainly diplomacy. And its in space with lasers!!
One thing i would however love to see adopted into Distant Worlds as inspiration from the Paradox games are some form of deeper relationships to manage, including casus belli of some sort.

@CalicoatMaker
How do you expect to have any credibility, comparing a 4X Strategy game with an MMO?
I think this game is great, It's like Aurora, but a little more friendly and with much better diplomacy.
