As a novice artist who knows the basics of art and shading, ... that is tedius and awesome! I noticed the amount of lighting,color,and shape detail put into everything from the background planet, to the ship, the space monster, and even the tiny little face in the mecha pilot. Movies usually take several arists of each peice and place them together. I learned a lot simply watching.

Absouletly flawless. Nice work. This is actually the only photoshop video I've bothered to watch the process of it being made. Just one comment, it would be nice to show the impact of the sword. For example maybe blood or possibly a limb flying up?

hey this is awesome. When you start paining the robot, do u lock the transparency for it so u dont get outside its borders, and what kind of brush u use. I trying to create something like this right now and i dont know how to paint the bot. Can u give me some pointers. plz i'd appreciate it very much.

incredible video, especially the beginning. you can really see the thought process. I do have one comment: I can see you're going for the wide composition, but if you crop out the little guy on top it looks like the monster is shooting the laser... but then again, it still reads... Good work.

Do you use a pad? You must use a pad. I once tried using photoshop to draw something from scratch with a mouse. I couldn't make very precise movements...

Great work man, what graphics pad do you use? I've go a Wacom Intuos 3 graphics tablet, which has just bigger than an A4 work area, however I'm amazed at how fine and detailed your brush strokes can be, what do you use?

awsome detail on the alien.. Mech turned out sweet too. lighting wasnt too shabby i wouldnt beat yourself up about it. Why do the random sketches from diffrent views before hand? Just to get an idea of what you want it to look like??? as for Modeling Cinema4D is cool but i tried a bit of Zbrush and thats what id aimfor (cept i dont like modeling ^_^ )

whatcha going to do with 3d. what program, etc. Your work is amazing. I love your attention to detail. You should work for a comic company, or maybe as a concept artist for all things concept.

My only goal for my next job is that it be for a respectable video game company, and that it be artistically creative. There are probably more modeling jobs than concept art jobs out there so I figure that it is best for me to practice both. I think I'll re-learn Maya, or learn Softimage. I already know 3DSMax, and I'll learn either MudBox of ZBrush as well.
