i like this version and the eraser head one. Kim deal may be one of the only ppl who could pull off this cover. she is thus epic and awesome. i love how she dosnt try to over play bass to push the song along she keeps it simple and smooth which one of the reasons the pixies freakin rock. they dont try to overplay their songs.

I first heard the original Pixies version with Black Francis on vocals. Liked it so much I ended up watching Eraserhead as a result. Not sure whether I love or hate them for that. Anyway, all three versions (Eraserhead, BF Pixies, KD Pixies) are very simple and haunting at the same time, and all three are great. I still slightly prefer Black's version to Kim's, just because of the harrowing screams. As for the original, it's in a class of it's own. "Surreal" doesn't even begin to cover it.
