  • in gr9 and love it, is that strange?....expecially in todays society

  • @TheHerbmon - i mostly agree with you except i did like ""Pyromania"". i was 14 when it came out. just hit me flush in the face, ya know. i can see it as a pop-rock cd now. but back in 1983 it slammed my head quite nicely. its important to me to remember those days they way they really were. love anna peace to ya bud.

  • Hard to believe a band that did awesome stuff like this ended up being a lame third rate pop band less than 20 years later. Sad. :(

  • Joe Elliot said he laughs when he hears his vocals on this, and On Through Night. I laugh at everything after this. His vocals are so gritty and real. He went pop on Pyromania, even though its still pretty good. Everything after that, he's a joke.

  • there first 4 or 5 albums were great, but i really think hands down high and dry is the best, this album just flat rocks from beginning to end and thank god the radio never got ahold of some of the best stuff they ever did,way too many nights drinking to oblivion and rocking to these guys, man great times in my life,so glad i had good music to be stupid too.

  • i seem to like High n dry the most out of all there albums, there some creepy weird emotion in the lyrics that seems to be one of kind, you dont see it as much on there main stream albums...

  • this is a pretty good old classic of def's

  • Hysteria, Myromania and High and Dry were all awesome albums

  • miro this is before pyro!!!

  • Check out Icarus witch's cover of this song if you havnt heard it, almost as good.

  • what happened to a band that wrote such great songs...too bad they went cheesy after pyro.

  • Also too bad that Pete Willis had a drinking problem because he was a whole lot better than Phil....;-)

  • @miroslavgajdos They so changed.

  • have always loved this song!

  • OLD SCHOOL KICK ASS ROCK!!

  • @fschaal1 Seems like just yesterday.

  • easily the best album they ever did

  • The joker to Def Leppard: What happened? Did your balls drop off?>

  • At a very young age they had a masterful knowledge of song structure. This reminds me of summer vacation bonging up in the living room listening to my parents kickin' stereo. Yes, I was ON summer vacation when this album had come out. The talent of the 80's will never go away, the crap today will be quickly forgotten. Long live TALENT..

  • First two albums dominate. Then they got sugar in their tank.

  • very amazing results when i come to this song. i love the feeling.

  • Get over yourself...this music hasn't been reproduced since, and those boys rocked the SHIT out of us all at that time...not to mention how timeless this music really is, you dipshit!!!!!!!! Figure out your own pathetic shit...take a look into my eyes...

  • BAD ASS MOTHER FUCKIN JAMS !!!!

  • You're the juggler! enjoy the old school they were

  • Icarus Witch did a great cover of this with Joe Lynn Turner as a guest vocalist. It's very good, you guys should check it out.

  • great song gotta love the 80s

  • if u want a band that has the early def leppard pete willis /steve clark attitude then everyone should get into from australlia called "airbourne" ... beware of calling them acdc clones, listen to them after listening to high n dry, and on through the night, airbourne got the image, the vibe, the whole shabang!!! cheers

  • this was my very first albums i bought

  • i love steve clark.... he just made def leppard fucken rock.... no junk no soul... R.I.P.

  • Absolutely the best Leppard album ever.

  • Def Leppard is the Duke of music. Nothing more too say.

  • the eighties were the greateast and some of the nineties like bush and candlebox to

  • This brings back memories... it is one of the best in the best album produced..

  • I fucking love this cd!!!!!

  • pyro was awsome , but ive always liked this one more . it stops time in 1983 with def leppard , Quiet riot , Jackson , and Iron Maiden ........

  • @chazwewa714 yeah, it was great, sometimes I like to play these tunes to some dumb kids who think Def Leppard is a pop-rock band, poor them, they only lived up to Rolling Stones comments or opinion, they never had the chance to lived this awesome music

  • babybabybabybabybabybabyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

  • man, I love this album!!

  • Still one of the best Lep songs ever made.

  • When this first came out it was advanced riffage . Everyone was blown away .

  • As a 40ish woman, this was the best album and i say album ever! Aw tell me...

  • that song is the best in the history of the def leppard, i don`t forget it

  • sooo rockin and soo raw! I FEEL LIKE A KID AGAIN!

  • After almost 20 years of listening to and loving this album....I never noticed that the pool was empty..until now...lol

  • pete may have left the band and the bands early amazing rock sound but come one steve had heart and soul and alot of players miss that rick allen is a 1 armed drummer you got to give it up to the guy i miss steve R.I.P steve your playing with that big band up in the sky

  • I remember listening to this as a 6th grader about 7 years ago...time flies, this song (and eventually the album) lead to my life-long appreciation of Def Leppard, Metal, and music in general.

  • how i wish there are videos of the band's tour with steve clark playing this song! whether clark played with willis or collen, i just would love to see clark play this live

  • This is the best album Def Leppard put out.

  • They lost their trademark riffs when they lost pete willis. the riffs disappeared and so did the good songs. I liked some songs here and there but Def Leppard was expendable to me after pyromania. Def Leppard left me. I didn't leave Def Leppard.

  • @sexydarin1 I agree the sound changed, but Steve had some really memorable riffs.

  • putain que de souvenirs a l époque bon concert bon album rien a dire a part bravo!!!

  • all i know is i'm back in 9th grade hearing this - and i fuckin love it!! crystal ball lookin so sly & so sleazy.............ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!

  • probably my favorite leppard song :)

  • SELL OUT?!? Ya i sell out every concert. Gene Simmons. lol.

  • @sexydarin1 "Yeah we Sell Out every night"

    Metallica

  • @SwitchFoot2007

I wouldn't. It's not like they are poor, they were millionaires already. I can understand bands selling out so they can continue to make money, but if you already have multiplatinum albums and top ten hits, it just disgraceful to sell out.

  • @CALJR8760 they weren't millionaires at that time... they hit that status after Hysteria... and they didn't "sell out" they didn't do it for the money, which is what a lot of people need to realize about music... it's not like you choose to make millions... they made great music and were rewarded for it... i would hope that i made millions playing music because it's what i love and if i get called a sell out then they can suck my dick because they're jealous i am where they could never be

  • Yeah. They sold out. every seat in the house. Cha Ching .. I mean seriously. wouldn't you if you had all that money put in front of you? Who among us wouldn't. Sold out. ..too funny.

  • Hysteria was decent not as bad as Adrenalize

  • By far my favorite album!!

  • best nwobhm album

  • MY CRYSTAL BALL YOU'RE LOOKIN' SO SLY AND SO SLEAZY . MIRROR MIRROR HANGIN' THERE WITH THAT CRACK IN YOUR EYE. YOU MAKE ME STUMBLE MAKE ME BLIND TIME AFTER TIME LINE BY LINE,

  • yea!!! there coming to Denver.i'm going to see them with heart!!!!!

  • @robert1414able i'll see you there!!! :D

  • CHECK OUT THE ICARUS WITCH VERSION!!!

  • Never heard of Def Leppard until i heard Photograph in 1983. Which led me to High N' Dry. There best work IMO.

  • on through the night, high and dry , and well they went down hill from there.

  • @necromalice x2 replaced guitar player lost momentem

  • i love def leppard, went to see them in concert when i was 13 years old, first concert, snuck backstage-in those days that was possible, but i looked about 10 years old and got chased out!

  • Comment removed

  • Are you serious man? Def Leppard sold out their original sound, the sound of ROCK N ROLL. They sold out their original fans to pursue the crap mainstream sound. Hysteria was a decent effort, but anything from Leppard after Steve's death means shit to me.

The true fans like early Def Leppard, where they were true to thier Rock n Roll roots.

  • @ultrachasersfan I think they sold out with Hysteria. Hysteria reminds me of the Black album by Metallica. Most peeps that didnt know who they were, now know. It made the diehards like us fucking cringe. I can still listen to the Black every once in awhile, but Hysteria makes me want to chew on a shotgun.

  • @Jamesesii thats ur opinion and u r entitled to it. Hysteria was the first album I heard by Def Leppard and it is a solid album IMO. They were changing their sound because of the era, and also to accomodate Rick Allen's ability to play. Rick himself said in an interview there is just some things he cannot play anymore. I love old Def Leppard as well, don't get me wrong, but I don't agree with you that Hysteria is a bad album

  • @deflepbabe i agree with you 100%

  • @deflepbabe Honestly, I feel bad calling this group out. Def Lep was such a huge part of my musical upbringing. But after hearing all of their previous music, Hysteria was basically hysterical. I sympathize with Rick and the accident. I really do. It was easy to move on to heavier bands like NIN after hearing one of my favorite bands go soft. Yes, Motley did the same thing with Theatre of Pain.... although they didnt need a one armed drummer to fuck themselves up. Love Rick Allen!!!

  • @Jamesesii yea I find there are all different kinds of Def Lep fans...hardcore (me) who like everything pretty much, Pre Hysteria, Post Hysteria..you name it...as for going towrds bands that were heavier, I never went towards NIN or any of that, too industrial sounding for me. As for newer music I do enjoy Avenge Sevenfold..solid band. Back to Def Lep, I will say it over and over...Mirror Mirro is an amazing song!

  • Why is everyone hating on the Albums after Pyromania?! Def Leppard may not have put out what you wanted but for real...they are too amazing to hate anything of there Rock! Enjoy the songs and albums that you enjoy, but dont hate on Def. They deserve better then hate. If yyour really a fan you wouldnt hate any of there shit, maybe dislike, but never hate!!

  • This is when Def Leppard was great! they hadn't yet sold themselves off to corporate America until after Pyromania, after that, is was WAY down HILL!

  • This album, is the best one I have ever listen to, My favorite Song Is: Mirror Mirror, If I may add, I was Cranking this song on a Good Sounding Stereo System in my Car, (Back in the Day) and I was so into this song, I Ran A Stop Sign and Got Pulled Over By Local Police OPS!! Goes to show I was not into driving I was so into this song ....LOL

  • this band has so many fuckin awsome tunes long live the 80s

  • My Favorite song on this album....real rock!!!!!

  • so im pissed my speakers cant play this any louder if i was going to go def this is that last thing i wanna here

  • Hard Rock all the way!

  • DEF LEPPARD---"MIRROR"

  • Man... I love this Rock N Roll.

  • look up Icarus Witch's cover of this. they totally kicked ass on it

  • dont get it twisted guys and girls. def was never metal. they went from hard rock to pop. what a waste.

  • @1288dallas who cares they went pop..i think they wrote some of the coolest catchiest hair metal era songs..they are legends man ..steve and phil are two amazing guitar legends as well..they wrote these insane solos so you gotta give them their dues..yeah i wanted them to stay hard as well but they got too rich to be angry anymore.

  • @thewheel246 no doubt-lived it-42 yrs old here-love them-always have a s[pecial place-79-when was that guy born????

  • @HyPnOsHoTz im 43 and was there from the beginning. pour some sugar on me was crap and you know it.

  • This is Rock n Roll at it's finest.

  • Is this song about cocaine?

  • Can anyone say that let it go By Def Leppard Is Not One Of The Greatest Songs Ever

    Let Me No

  • Who is def leppard and how did they get there name ?

  • I finally bought this album. Talk about luck I found the only high 'n' dry album at best buy. Now I see how good this was back then in the 80's, this is definitly the best song off high 'n' dry.

  • This is from when Def Leppard didn't suck.

  • Man this album fucking bad ass. All the songs rock, but i think this is the best of them all. Im gonna buy the album probably this week. ROCK ON! TAKE A LOOK INTO MY EYES!!

  • Best song they ever recorded!!!!!!!!

  • Shockingly great album. Stunning in it's abrasive hooks and synchronized guitar work. One of the best examples of heavy/metal/hard-rock that has ever been.

  • @trexx63 I agree completely. It is too bad some music can't be seen as great, it's like the forest for the trees type of thing. I don't think it's even close, that this is by far their best effort. Yet you never hear anything of it anymore. Oh well.

  • This album was amazing. Pyromania was awsome to. Really liked this band. To bad Joe elliot is a pussy and just wants to sing to 13 year old girls..... Fuck you Joe Elliot.

When steve Clark died they should of stopped. RIGHT THERE

  • the most underrated def leppard song.

  • @scratchpost I never even heard of him until I saw all the posts on youtube bashing him. Finally, out of curiosity, I looked up one of his songs on here and played it through. While not my style, certainly wasn't the worst I've heard. People should try simply NOT listening to bands/artists/songs they don't like and enjoy the music they do like.

  • My favorite song EVER.

  • This song is great! Glad I found it. I like Def Leppard, but I can't recall hearing this one. Nice.

  • Great album, the best Def album ever :)

  • DEF LEPPARD IS THE BEST BAN EVER!!!!! NO MATTER WHAT THE ANOTHER PEOPLE SAYS!! DEF LEPPARD ROCK, AND STILL ROCKIN!!! AFETR MANY YEARS!!

DEF LEPPARD CAN KICK HIS ASS TO JUSTIN BIEBER AND ANYONE ELSE!

  • This is one great song, classic Lep. These riffs can even be heard in their cheeseball years.

  • Best Def Leppard Song on High 'N' Dry!

  • great rock song. this song got me some when i was in my prime

  • Like no other... oh mirror mirror... what is it a see... line by line...mirror, mirror.. Please tell me a Lie!

  • high and dry is the best album ever made .... def is the shit

  • @isaiahman1234567 Other than Pyromania

  • @vancepar08 i like high and dry better but pyromania is bad ass two

  • @isaiahman1234567 i agree

  • Is it gay to play this song while jerkin in front of a mirror?

  • To bad they don't make music like this anymore classic def Leppard rock's.Def leppard 4LIfe.R.I.P.Steve Clark I'll alway's be a diehard fan...

  • Download this song=$1, High &Dry Disc $13, Seeing these guys in Concert back in the 80's= PRICELESS

  • Best bands ever!!

  • this is one of the greatest metal bands of all time. and yes this is metal not hard rock

  • @ihateschool778 No this is hard rock, Metal is just deep sounding with no catchy hooks or anything.

  • @Jamcad01 that shows you know nothing about metal. def leppard was at the forefront of the second wave of british heavy metal for a few years. but they sold out, and then iron maiden took there place. this is as metal as it gets, it's just very old and not as heavy as the stuff to come out in the last 10 years

  • @ihateschool778 When they say New wave of British Heavy Metal they also mean hard rock as well. Sigh

  • @Jamcad01 Again, where did you get that? The new wave of british heavy metal was metal with some hard rock influences yes but that doesn't make it straight hard rock. Also melodically, this song is closer to the more melodic side of metal than rock, though this album is more rock than On Through The Night which is the only straight metal album they have.

  • @Jamcad01 Wow, I've never heard a more ignorant opinion of metal ever.

  • it sosa takes me back -- and keeps me here too. love it.

  • DEF LEPPARD 4LIFE !

  • Thanx a million for this post for a bad ass tune !!! Sounds so great especially after hearing hip hop and rap for 9 months in prison for child support.

  • @dokkcrue71 9 months! Why that long?

  • @Jamcad01 I don't know. R.I.P. Steve Clark.

  • I heard mp3iifffy is the best site to download songs like this. Google mp3iifffy.

  • mp3iiiiify is the best site to get this mp3. google mp3iiiiify.

  • Great Album!!! Every song rocked!!!!
