  • what method did you use to start your dreads ??

  • my hair is suppa soft!! ... m not nixed at all i jus got this real soft hair that unravels in like 2 - 4 days. How long was you hair when u first stared? nd what did u do to keep em' in? .... I used the bees wax/didnt work jamacian mango and lime/not so much! I NEED HELP, please?

  • @CeaseH8807 My loctician started my hair with brown gel. Its been JML(jamaican mango & lime) products after the first time. The key is to keep twisting and have patience. I thought the back would never lock, but it's been a lil over a year and I'm not fully locked but there's a difference. Twist while reading, watching tv, etc. You'll eventually become so addicted u dont realize you're twisting. good luck

  • I understand the soft hair journey...I have soft hair and had my locs for about a year and a half now...I'm the opposite of your hair though....the back of my hair loc'd but the front and top area...STILL being patient with it...lol

  • My hair twin! Did you keep at it? I tried about 5 times including Sisterlocks twice. I think I'll give it one more go without spending beau coup funds though.

    Thanks for sharing your journey.

  • @lovinlocks LOL yes, next month will be a year. I have several vids from the past months and I can't get them to upload on here... My advice to you would be to just not think about it, and don't care what others think about it. A year will fly by before you know it, and by then, you and others will be used to your hair. It's just hair anyways... Good luck!

  • 4 a sec i tot it was sean kingston.

  • I'm trying to lock mine also I had mine for bout two weeks at da most n my hair is also soft n I'm not gon lie it gets frustrating cuz if u get it retwisted n stuff it looks like it's been up for a min but I'm being patient as I can wit it lol

  • my hair is prolly not as soft as yours but very close an i been trying so hard to lock my hair it always unravel in one nite then i cut my hair its almost long enough to get it twisted now wat shout the person use to lock my hair or wak worked 4 you

  • @kingmel2009 I wrapped it every night and kept twisting. All day, when I'm reading a book or having a conversation I'm twisting... Jamaican Mango & Lime products are my friend. Resistance formula locking gel in the beginning. Now I use that combined with Carol's Daughter Lock Butter or whatever my loctician puts on it...

  • Thanks supervirtuouswoman. I have not been using alcohol because I know this is true. In fact, I have made another vid but having a hard time posting it.

  • I really appreciate your video. I have hair just like you and I have been locked for 9 months now. Some of my hair is fully locked and some is almost locked. I suffered with frizzies very bad too. soft hair can use wax products very well. Do not use products that contains alcohol because it will interupt the locking process.

  • shake it gurl....lol

  • Thanks for posting this video i have soft hair and everybody tells me that my hair want lock

  • No prob... If white folks can get it, biracial folks can get locks too. It will take a little bit longer to lock naturally without wax but it will be well worth it with patience.

    Good luck with your journey.
