Well, the end really brings the story full circle. First Norton gets Ralph into this bad situation. Then when Ralph is safe he tells Norton: "Run downstairs and have Harvy come back up here. I'm ready for Harvey!"
Either Ralph was so confident of himself he didn't know to leave well enough alone, or he wanted some personal satifaction for all the anxiety he went through.
True Norton got him into the mess, but then Ralph asks Norton to start everything over again.
Has to be at least the 200 th time I watched this. Used to watch them every night for about 10 years in the 80s on chanel 11 in New York. I still remember the sun coming up the moring Gleason died and after having watched the honeymooners that night. I think the showed a bunch of them that night.
I WENT OUT OF MY WAY AFTER WATCHING THIS EPISODE,JUST TO SIGN IN SO I COULD JUST ADD A COMMENT,THE MAN HERE THAT SAID THIS SHOW IS AS OLD AS IT IS?IT STILL MAKES YOU LAUGH,AND I SAY NOTHING COULD BE MORE TRUE,THE SHIT THEY HAVE ON TODAY IS A DISGRACE ,THEY DIDNT HAVE TO SWEAR IN THIS,THEY DIDNT HAVE TO SPLIT ANYBODY OPEN WITH A AXE,OR CHAINSAW,AND THEY DIDNT HAVE TO SHOW TWO PEOPLE SCREWING EACH OTHER SO CLOSE YOU COULD SEE EVERY PUBE,THIS WORLD HAS TURNED INTO 1 BIG SHITHOLE,INNOCENCE IS NOMORE
I know it's stone coincidence, but at 3:15 "I most certainly do' and 3:25 "and let that be a lesson to you" Ralph drops a couple of Laurel and Hardyisms. It was mentioned that Ralph and Norton were like a Brooklyn version of Laurel and Hardy (they even imitated them on a "lost" Honeymooners" episode), but. . .well, just saying.
Did anyone notice the bully (Mike O'Dowd) slam his head into that pole after Ralph hits him, Even Ralph flinched from the impact 3:17
BTW
The title refers to "The Bomber" which was a popular nickname for a prize fighter after World War II and the successful use of Army Air Force bombers against the enemy
They didn't call him "The Great One" for nothing. I remember seeing John Belushi doing Gleason/Kramden on SNL. Belushi was always regarded as a high-energy performer, but when you compare them, Belushi looks like Perry Como next to Gleason.
NO one can touch this guy. 39 episodes and they're STILL as funny as ever. How sweet it is.
@mattleemattlee123 - And don't forget the "lost" episodes. I agree with you about comparing Belushi's energy with Gleason's. Can you imagine that JG NEVER won an Emmy for his work? What a crime!

NORTON IS A GENIUS

@5tonyvvvv For all of his 'dim-wittedness',He(Norton) could come up with a plan every now & then to bail his friend Ralph out of his predicament.
