hi mate. great vid. i live not too far away from the spur line which runs from the rye-ashford line. have never seen this train running down to dungeness. i thought that the line was disused. do they run very often?
@rbnoremac hiya :D great video, i know the driver of the train (my uncle) and it is confidential information to tell you what time it runs but it will either be tuesday/wednsday/thursday/friday (usally thursday) another peice of information for the coment by sqareiftheyearFM you don't know what is in the flasks, the govenment do a lot of work to keping those flasks safe, some have the real radoactive waste in. DRS also run decoy trains. (if it has more than one flask it is usally the real thing)
Great vid, love 20's except when they butchered one for the James Bond film. I'd feel a bit more comfortable if there were more security with the flask, even if it were empty.
i see the sellafield-heysham flasks and the paired or top +tail 20's are a great sight to see but for how long.37038 paired with a 20 is a mad sound too.good vid..
where was it going? and why was it gated? whats in there

The train has just stopped at a TMO cossing. (Trainman operated crossing.)
He opens the xing gates then when safe calls the train through.
The train then stops to pick the Trainman up.
As it is signle line, the token will be on the loco.
There is a Xing like this on the Rylstone Branch Skipton, UK.
I have operated that xing many times with the Ryl/con stone train.
I could not see any SAS men in the back cab. Only the guard and he was fast asleep.

I agree, there should be a bit more security on the flasks. There would be big trouble if one was hijacked!
Thanks for the comment!!!

There is at least two armed S.A.S personal on board these things, and the train is satelite tracked. Thats quite a lot of security.

@Xantec Hi, yes, i know who the SAS are, I'm from the UK :-)
It was just that i doubt that the train had SAS people on it. That's not to say i know that there aren't SAS people on it, but i just doubt it. :-)
bye for now.
