  • Impresionante, parece ir hasta los extremos del realismo. Se confunde peligrosamente con la artesanía.

  • i wonder where there showing the sculptures now?

  • @lovemyselfforever86 colegio de san idelfonso ciudad de mexico

  • he makes alot of his sculpteres naked too

  • Loved his work in a mexican gallery

  • These are at once very odd and bizarre, but looking at them I would not be surprised if one got up and walked towards me. They are true Works Of Art. Forget the light bulb going on and off at a work of art, this is truly, and wholly something that lives up to it's name, and the effort and skill which went to make these 'people' can at once be seen and appreciated.

Thank you so much for the upload, it is very very much appreciated by me and I am sure would be by a lot of other true Art Lovers!

  • Que perfeccion mil felicitaciones, es totalmente extraordinario.

  • So... it seems the people who are posing to be sculped don't mind having bigger/smaller naked models of themselves in a mueseum that looks super realistic for all to see o.o lol that's kind of creepy but very incredible too. He is very talented :D

  • Love them all! I wish to see them up close and personal, wow!

  • Hyperrealism indeed. This guy is a TRUE ARTIST, makes true clowns out of the likes of Jeff Koons and Damien Hurst.

  • I was in town yesterday and spoke to someone who said "there is an exhibition on at the gallery, you should go and see it". It Was Ron Mueck. Yes, WOW. Fantastic. The Large guy sitting on the chair. Sooo real hah. This man seems like a genius

  • You must be in Aberdeen then - its an awesome exhibition !

  • Yeah, thats the one Russell. So glad I went with my gut feeling and saw the exhibition. All The Best

  • Amazing artist!

Great song, does anyone know what it is?

  • his art is just wonderful. :) i'd love to see it in person.

oh, btw, does anyone know the name of that song?

  • Wow, in still photos, their sculptures look like some photoshoped photos of living people.

  • The baby @ 1:43 looks scary!!!!

  • First time I've seen his work and it's amazing. The detail on the two old ladies at the beginning is fantastic.

  • Ron Mueck is one seriously brilliant and talented guy, the fact that he can create human figures and made it so damn real until the minute touch, just pure talent..i would love to see his exhibition one of these days

  • spell check.

  • You obviously dont know what you are talking about.

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Muito bom, cara manja para caralho, artista puro e incrível que pareça não é muito divulgado, pena que no mundo pessoas assim ficam conhecidas quando morrem. Muito bom.

  • its so eerie. and thats because it looks real but its not. soul touching.

  • I saw the "Big Man" (at 2:40) at the Smithsonian and you would not believe the detail in that thing. Every tiny capillary and pore is there in frighteningly realistic detail. I still do not understand how he does it.

  • Por que no tenemos un poquito de lo que tiene este hombre......

    Que beleza.....dirìa el bambino...

    Nacho.

  • That reminds me of the Wax Museum... freaky I wonder if there really just carvings ;)

  • This is just...UNREAL ..ia magical so much talent this man have,he was born to do this ..these sculptures ..wonderful..BRAVO!

  • This makes me want to cut myself!!!!

  • its so realistic its uncredible :D

    i love it <3

  • ist fantastic, but somehaow i dont know why, a bit scarry for me!!!..maybe because its so perfect

  • I never heard about him till someone sent me a mail with his works. I don't have words to discrive what I think about him just one thing, if there's any genius in the world alive for me he's the one. Espetacular, amazing everything. Well done Muek, hope some day I can see every of your works at live.

  • I bet no1 can find out his actual date of birth

  • I knew Ron about 10 years ago, and I knew he was good then, as everyone else told me, but when I stood beside his woman in the bed sculpture, I was almost moved to tears because his talent is unthinkable, so incredible it shocked even me. If you get the chance to go to his exhibitions, do go, he's one of, if not THE greatest sculptor alive (and I don't give a toss who wants to argue art with me, gan eat some sushi or something) My other favourite is the couple spooning, who look out of love

  • awesome, full of real situations and feelings!

  • I want one!

  • amazing works. this man is genius!

does anybody knows- whats the music used in this clip? please- i need artist and title. HELP! :)

  • I L.OVE I.T ! VER.Y FANTAS.TICKKKK

  • Wow. Makes Madame Tussauds Wax sculptures look fake.

  • Can't wait to see his exhibit this month At Canada's National Museum. I am so excited! :)

  • That is the most talent for anything I've ever seen in anyone.

  • one word...beautiful!

  • really interesting...!!!

  • Thank you idw2007 for posting this

  • Astonishing Resplendent Tremendous

    in other words ART

  • Ciao.

    molto bello.

Lo trovo affascinante ma a volte anche inquietante.

    ciao

    ce0014

  • they are so creepyingly grotesque - its so cool!!!! so lifelike.the mottled skin and uncannily gigantic proportional figures are really breathtaking.

  • Art is inspiration. I feel like I have been awakened after a long draught of inspiration. These pieces... I am moved to create once again. Not like this, but in my own way. Good art will inspire. Thank you mr. Mueck

  • I have seen his exhibit...he is incredible!

  • Very good photos and construction! I love Ron Mueck too, and you have done a great interpretation of the artist'work

  • Vraiment wow c'est un artiste merveilleux j'adore

  • The Big Man one seen in the corner is made out of fibreglass (according to my Art teacher).

  • no mames que guevos de cabrón!!! de qué están hechos?

  • Fibra de vidrio, silicona, cabellos....

  • Actually, the pig-human sculpture you're talking about was done by Patricia Piccinini. They have a similar realistic style. I'm not 100% sure what he uses, but Patricia usually uses mostly silicone mixtures... I would imagine he uses the same.

  • phenomena. genius. realistic. But is it Art or is it technology?? Art is....??

  • WOW

  • nossa que vivo

  • I love how it looks almost real, but with a very slight cartoon type effect.

  • I too would love to know who the music is by!

  • that's creepy

  • Can anyone tell me the music that is playing?

  • holy crap thats phenomenal

  • i see his sculptures as humans merely frozen

in time. unable to move but to only be observed by people

    it's great

  • these sculptures are unbelievably realistic

he takes REALISM to a new level

    forgetting about the usual statue

and practically putting a new human on this

    earth! his work is amazing

  • He is so amazing, first he makes them in clay, then makes a cast using the clay sculpture (which sadly is destroyed in the process) then he makes the fiqure with fiberglass and silicone, then he adds all the hairs by hand into the silicone.

  • this is insane, i think he kills people and encases them with wax. too life like. beautiful

  • Hey andy3625.... boy, you're a quick one! "College" huh... yeah, if only it worked in that sentence..... I thinks collage works better. Nice try though!

  • AMAZING

  • your spelling of college is wrong

  • I just created a mini site to help people find Ron Mueck's exhibit schedule. Go to Squidoo dot com then search on the term Ron Mueck.
