These are at once very odd and bizarre, but looking at them I would not be surprised if one got up and walked towards me. They are true Works Of Art. Forget the light bulb going on and off at a work of art, this is truly, and wholly something that lives up to it's name, and the effort and skill which went to make these 'people' can at once be seen and appreciated.
Thank you so much for the upload, it is very very much appreciated by me and I am sure would be by a lot of other true Art Lovers!
So... it seems the people who are posing to be sculped don't mind having bigger/smaller naked models of themselves in a mueseum that looks super realistic for all to see o.o lol that's kind of creepy but very incredible too. He is very talented :D
Take a look at my generation. There you will find trains, the Finnish army, the beautiful scenery of Finland, folk music, sailing ship Sedov, martial arts, sports, art exhibitions, animals, animation, a lot of Super 8 films and other interesting stuff!

Great video - thanks. Ron Mueck is an awesome artist. My first encounter has been this weekend at Aberdeen art gallery - it's a must see - so go and see it!
I was in town yesterday and spoke to someone who said "there is an exhibition on at the gallery, you should go and see it". It Was Ron Mueck. Yes, WOW. Fantastic. The Large guy sitting on the chair. Sooo real hah. This man seems like a genius
Ron Mueck is one seriously brilliant and talented guy, the fact that he can create human figures and made it so damn real until the minute touch, just pure talent..i would love to see his exhibition one of these days
Muito bom, cara manja para caralho, artista puro e incrível que pareça não é muito divulgado, pena que no mundo pessoas assim ficam conhecidas quando morrem. Muito bom.
I saw the "Big Man" (at 2:40) at the Smithsonian and you would not believe the detail in that thing. Every tiny capillary and pore is there in frighteningly realistic detail. I still do not understand how he does it.
I never heard about him till someone sent me a mail with his works. I don't have words to discrive what I think about him just one thing, if there's any genius in the world alive for me he's the one. Espetacular, amazing everything. Well done Muek, hope some day I can see every of your works at live.
I knew Ron about 10 years ago, and I knew he was good then, as everyone else told me, but when I stood beside his woman in the bed sculpture, I was almost moved to tears because his talent is unthinkable, so incredible it shocked even me. If you get the chance to go to his exhibitions, do go, he's one of, if not THE greatest sculptor alive (and I don't give a toss who wants to argue art with me, gan eat some sushi or something) My other favourite is the couple spooning, who look out of love
Art is inspiration. I feel like I have been awakened after a long draught of inspiration. These pieces... I am moved to create once again. Not like this, but in my own way. Good art will inspire. Thank you mr. Mueck
Actually, the pig-human sculpture you're talking about was done by Patricia Piccinini. They have a similar realistic style. I'm not 100% sure what he uses, but Patricia usually uses mostly silicone mixtures... I would imagine he uses the same.
He is so amazing, first he makes them in clay, then makes a cast using the clay sculpture (which sadly is destroyed in the process) then he makes the fiqure with fiberglass and silicone, then he adds all the hairs by hand into the silicone.
Hey andy3625.... boy, you're a quick one! "College" huh... yeah, if only it worked in that sentence..... I thinks collage works better. Nice try though!
i wish i did not miss the exhibition in Hamburg four years ago, back then i still did not know about this great artist, what a pity i hope one day ama be able to make it!
Impresionante, parece ir hasta los extremos del realismo. Se confunde peligrosamente con la artesanía.
