  • "'Inconvenient Truth' has already been completely discredited by the UK supreme court finding it to have 9 serious errors" - Which are?

  • Save the environment LOL you cannot make money protecting the environment . The notion of environmental protection flies right in the face of our population growing to around billion people next century. Sustainability is the pipe dream of politicians who want to sound environmental, will never happen. Housing starts growing houses not crops more money in importing food than growing local, clean water and air never happen emergent pollutants and endocrine disruptors will never be addressed.

  • I swear to God that you could be held accountable in Nuremberg for torture for making somebody watch this video.

  • @ 19:30 this dork trails off to almost complete inaudibility and loses his train of thought . Who is this idiot? TAKE A SPEAKING COURSE!!! Please don't inflict us with your absurdly poor presentations!

  • Why can this dork in the black jacket not get to the point and say what the fuck he means? Stop saying "sort of" and "kind of" and all this whiny crap.BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why the hell can't you envirowhackos edit a fucking tape to make it short and to the point? Are you all infested with the "Boring As Hell Virus"? Is it a chronic need to be as annoying as you can fucking be?

  • if the environment interests you i have a lot of videos on my channel you might want to watch

  • go take a look at how long it will take for people to die should the worlds population of bee's become extict. i think einstien gave us something like 4-7 yrs. but no forget about protecting other species even though we have no idea the out come it could have on us in the short/long term. not to leave out the fact that now we have one less type of creature on the planet to live with

people should look past the tip of the dick

  • Conservation also seems a little silly and pointless to me. Who cares about national parks and shit? I never go there or visit. Those places are just sitting there unused and uninvested. And for what? So we can "proudly" claim that the public has awesome natural areas to visit like the Grand Canyon or Yellowstone? Please. Conservation is silly. Let's start drilling some oil there at least. Do something productive with them. Or maybe sell them to reduce national debt.

  • Conservation isn't only the protection or creation of natural reserves and landscapes but more a reduction of material usage in its myriad forms. For example it can be a simple as turning off your lights whether that be in residential or commercial buildings. that conservation, or the business market term, efficiency, is both profitable and sought after by private enterprise. in terms of drilling for oil, its not as simple as just installing the infrastructure and reaping profits.

  • soil conservation is important. if you don't have plant roots holding the dirt down, it'll blow or wash away. once the soil is gone, we can't grow food.

  • I only started college here at Mizzou (after transferring from a previous college) in 2007. And I'm pretty political, so I watch the big 3 cable news outlets and politics on YT A LOT. I also visit political websites quite often. And yet, why did I never hear of environmentalism referred in the context of "sustainability" until just recently? Have I been living under a rock, or did liberals honestly just started using that new term to make environmentalism "more friendly-sounding"?

  • Environmentalism, good riddance! Sure, protecting the environment to protect the health of our people is good, but that's about it. Caring excessively about "endangered species" and wildlife in ANWR and all this other bullcrap is a little extreme. Environut-ism has become a silly fad. "Look at me and how environmental and green I am!" Sustainability has become the new anti-global warming buzzword. Hell, I never even heard of the word used in that context til I got in college!

  • We don't need environnutism. We just need sensible policies aimed at protecting us humans. Humans First, I say. Stop listening to PETA and the Endangered Species Act. Tell Greenpeace to fuck off. Stop whining about drilling in ANWR, esp. when the drilling would only be a mere 8% of the entire land there. And it's not like drilling is gonna kill off all the animal species. The fears of environmentalists are so unfounded oftentimes.

  • Really?? So you're saying that we should simply let endangered species die off, allow rainforests to be destroyed and start drilling wherever we can?? Honestly, sometimes I wonder how ignorant of the world around them some people can be. Of course drilling isn't going to kill off animal species! It's just going to spew so much pollution into the air that everything in the area will just evolve to tolerate toxic gas I suppose?

  • Plus, what about the roads that will be required for transportation of these petroleum products? Even the transportation of this crude oil has been fumbled by gas companies!

  • May I remind you of the Exxon Mobil oil spill in Alaska?? It destroyed their entire economy! Not to mention their ecosystems. What are your reasons for supporting oil harvesting in ANWR? Money of course! Yet you forget that if oil is expelled from the tailpipes of our cars as CO2 for another 41 years there will be no fish in the sea. Oh well, only one blow to the economy right?

  • @Makethedifference777 greed is a form of idolatry. You're pretty right on - we Westerners are too preoccupied with money than the welfare of the planet. True environmentalists live off the land and live in caves and trees. :)

  • No more beaches, the water/pollution ratio would be too high. As well we would probably all start to begin developing lung cancer because of our now toxic air! Seriously, when electrical automotive, flight, and sailing technologies are available, why continue to plague are earth with pollution from petroleum products?

  • bravo! thank you for posting!!!!

  • What a phagot

  • I'm sorry but I Had to stop watching this as soon as I heard 'Hurricane Kathrina' and references to Al Gore's 'Inconvenient Truth'. 2 Things....

    1. The devestation of Hurricane Kathrina had NOTHING to do with Climate Change. It was caused by the failure of the levies around New Orleans.

    2. The movie 'Inconvenient Truth' has already been completely discredited by the UK supreme court finding it to have 9 serious errors and also finding it to be partisan.

  • @sonscope This scam is what is killing environmentalism. I will be happy to have things return to the Naturalist standard that was a whole lot less focused on politics/ jingoism and more on reality.

  • King Canute fell for line that he could control the tide.. people are still falling for scams such as global warming!

  • hehe, youre a funny fuck

  • Cheers mate

  • Reduction of our impact on climate change is critical and CO2 reduction is probably the most easily addressed part. Investment to reduce the CO2 per kW Hr is needed. What policies are moral, efficient and politically practical?

If government subsidizes something they have to tax or inflate and that is theft. Taxing CO2 emitters to fund the investment can't happen due to corporate influence. Neither of these give direct control over actual CO2.

  • The solution is cap, auction and trade.

This is moral since the auction charges CO2 emitters for the damage they cause. This is effective since it gives the government direct control over CO2 levels. This is efficient since it will reward groups that produce less CO2 and The investment in innovation will be focused on the biggest bang for the buck. This is politically possible since the left will get to 'stick it to the corporations' and the right will get a 'free market solution.'

  • The Great Global Warming Swindle.

  • How might history have turned out differently had we imagined the solution to global warming as unleashing rather than restricting human activity? What if we had conceptualized global warming not as the result of too much economic development but rather as the result of too little clean economic development? (N&S 127)

  • thanks for posting!

  • The Great Global Warming Swindle!

  • Agreed!
