@TheMick779 HAHA Agalloch? fuck no. cant stand that band. I'm not saying Watain is terrible, I just find their riffs and composition to be uninspired and generic. However bands like Katharsis (ger), Darvulia, Svest, Aosoth offer something that substantial. Katharsis' World Without End is possibly my favorite record of all time simply because they take primitive riff ideas and add character to them by using odd hits and accents to make them much dynamic and take on an identity of their own

...Anymore anyway. Maybe he just turned down the screams for a more audible yell, or he lost his voice, I'm not sure. Just listen to Casus Luciferi in comparison to Sworn to the Dark.

some of the songs on sworn to the dark are purely screamed though, wheres others are more shouted. i've noticed it often depends on the lyrics, or the general feel of the song... casus luciferi is a better album either way.

Dont forget..that if Darkthrone would decide to return to the old style..they would crush Watain!Undoubtly!!!Both are nice bands..but latest Watain album mainly maintains Dissection influences..and yes i know Erik also played live guitar for Dissection in the past.

ah, thanks. just checked it out. that is a terrible interview and there is no reason why anyone should take it seriously. i wonder if it was conducted in person and transcribed off of a recording. there seems to be lots of evidence pointing to follow-up questions that wouldnt be possible with a static pre-arranged/email interview.
