The Secret Service should hire this driver for the presidential limo or something. He would keep his cool and calm everyone down in an emergency situation, while going through tunnels and bridges!
The driver was an elegant dude! He kept his eye on the road, carried the bike at the nose of the bus without dropping it, and spoke kindly without letting the critiquing get to him. They should award him with a Pulitzer for his sociological skills!
it's a BUS STOP for a reason it's where the bus is meant to stop if they could just pull over anywhere there wouldn't be any bus stops, you wouldn't go through a red light because it's easier, you wouldn't go down the motorway the wrong way because it's easier, you wouldn't jump off a mountain because it's quicker.
Driving a public bus is more challanging due to that by federal law, you have to have the interior lights on at all times while in service unless you are told differently by your supervisor.
How about the people who ask questions such as "Do you go to Walmart? and you reply which one and they get upset? My particular route passes three walmarts.
By regulations, you are required to give the passengers the info they are after. And you have to tell them the truth too. If the route you are driving does not serve their destination, you have to tell them what route does. If you give them false info, they can call in, and you can end up getting written up.
That bus driver had class. He listened to what the guy said and acknowledged it, assessed it from a few different points of view, admitted he agreed with the passengers and even had a sense of humor at the end. He did it all without getting defensive.
People always have to argue with the drivers thinking they know what the hell is going on, how about if the bus driver comes in and tells you how to do your job to his satisfaction huh?

I understand that however the passenger should take some sort of responsibility by knowing where they want to go.

I should take a page out of the driver's book.

Its definetly an Gillig Phanton, I can tell by the turning signal sound, like mines (1996 Gillig Phantoms in Grand Rapids, MI (The Rapid).

You can also tell that it's a Gillig by the drivers area as well look at the dash board. No other bus model has that kind of configuration :D

and the bong. On the Gillig Low floors, it sounds different. When I mean dong, I mean the ding cord sound.
