A lion was killing both humans and domestic animals. So the king send a messenger to ask Maidawa for help. He first refused and finaly accepted to hunt down the lion. He finally killed the beast. He is then welcome back to the town as hero.He received gifs from the king.

Yes the group is Le ballet de Doutchi. This is about a hunter that was forced to leave town because he don.t want to pay taxes for the king. The main person is my Own cousin. His name Mahamadou Anichouya but today every call him maidawa literaly from Hausa meaning The one who owns the forest because of his skills.

This is not about Dancing or singing. It is a play named MAIDAWA that took place in Dogondoutchi Town I Niger republic strangely enough i was a teenager during this play in the public!!!

Whether or not these people could dance or sing to your particular standards are irrelevant; I don't see you making any effort to preserve old Hausawa culture, like these people had done. whether or not they are from the k'auye, they deserve respect.
