Young people need to learn of these terrible times, and older folk need to recall these tragedies, so that we grow together and learn about prejudice and ignorance and fear and stigma. Some of the postings here demonstrate a desperate need for such education.

how can you sympathize with the people who are the creators of AIDS? this is terrible. and immoral and just backwards. i would be wrong to make a documentary sympathizing people who blow themselves up get rid of illegal occupation of there lands. in fact i would be called a terrorist. but we glorify homosexuality as if its beautiful and noble. fucking backwards! my aunt died as a result of a idiot who chose to sleep with a lesbian. It was first publicized by the media to intend it to be a "gay disease" when in fact during those early years, drug users,women and heterosexual couples of drug users were also getting HIV and AIDS. Sorry to tell you the truth. These facts will boggle your mind but you'll live through it and be a better person because now you know.

Although I know if it were widely released, only a target audience and a handful of other interested parties would go see it, but a film like this should be viewed by (and available) to all. This is something not to be forgotten, and needs to be reintroduced to those who were or are to young to know what this was like when it first started so they can be educated and the world can be reminded we still have a long way to go in the fight.
