Nothing is improper bcoz theres no description given... This is on raag miya ki malhar... The alap was added bcoz its sung by none other than Ustad Radhid Khan Saab... Ustad ji usually doesnt sing Rabindra Sangeet... He's sung this number esplly for Rituparno Ghosh... Whatever sound comes from his voice - just out of the world... Even its just yawning in d morning.. Thats what I believe :)
I am a BIG fan of Ustadji, and that's why I came to listen this song; but the description given was improper. Rabindra Sangeets are always based on classical (raagas). Ustadji sang it beautifully, but Rabindra sangeets themselves are gems, not simple. I believe Ustadji will agree to this whole heartedly.
