how do you make the individual rose petals rounded? which modifiers are best for this?

{Notes} line. LATHE... degrees as width of petals. then SHELL. then MESH SMOOTH. then NOISE. 50. strengthx:28,y:24,z:42 . adjust and copy/rotate
