@djtes90 They show up from time to time second hand but went higly up in prices during the last years. (Of course...like all Analog Gear). It's hard to recommend it for the current prices unless you are really looking for that synth and sound. Nevertheless it's a robust instrument and can be controlled in Midi Enviroments via MIDI CV Interfaces (with Hz/V functionality) like Kenton Pro Solo.
comparing the MS10 ds version to the real thing is like comparing the legacy VST polysix or ms20 to the hardware one!don't get me wrong i love the legacy collection(VST's save space and time,are a lot cheaper and sound very close!), but i own a hardware polysix and they do sound MUCH phatter!(would love a hardware MS10 or MS20!sigh!). Phat little gem! (:
@cjbonecollecter i have both. Took me ages to find them in decent condition but eventually found them. they are really great synths, both have their own personality and can be used side by side in a mix or song. the external; processing is legendary. it doesn't take much time tweaking to hear goldfrapp vocal sounds or aphex twin sounds. not bad programming; although the patching can get complicated but you have to experiment. in 5 mins though you find amazing sounds. better than any soft synth.
Great synth man! Brings back memories:) Have you seen that Korg teamed up with Nintendo and XSeed games and made a modern pocket synth version of the MS-10? It's called the DS-10 made for the Nintento DS. Freakin off the hook man! It's like the original but on steroids... The Nintendo version is 6 voice poly AND has a 6 track step seq. 2 synth parts, and 4 part drum machine. Fully editable too. Worth checking out. Got one myself and love it.
ive been looking for weeks on where to buy this at..does anyone know..and can you control it with midi aswell..
