  • The music from 1:11 to 1:38 is from Kirby's Adventure. Why does everyone miss that?

  • 3:57 LAZER!!!

  • could've gotten the Super Star part from an emulator...

  • i think i know why you fought batafire because he launches fireballs from his armpits right?

  • @Pengijoker Are you 5 or something?

  • @blaziken1234 way older than that

  • then i will make my sister boxy and i will be bombar! rofl

  • why do you fight batafire?

  • Fight Me! XD

  • Eh... just to let you know, that Kirby 64 theme you used is actually from Kirby Dreamland 2, and the music right after it is the original Dreamland.

  • Amazing Mirror's music was in Dyna Blade (KSS) when you go up against the Iron Mam that stalks you on the World Map

  • Power Tower?? I'll look it up online later.

  • @Coolblue3680 hmmmm, lemme be more descriptive. you know the tower thingy in the middle of the world select map? the one with all the powers? that thing.

  • @NitromathThePizzaGuy Oh No no no I meant the Kirby and the amazing mirror thing. At the Top Right it said "Z Button: Options". That thing.

  • @Coolblue3680 oh that thing.... you get it when you play a gameboy game on a gamecube. it's like an emulator.

  • 1:41 Where did you get that??

  • @Coolblue3680 the power tower thingy

  • U forgoted kirby dreamland 2

  • By the way, the Amazing Mirror part actually first appeared in Kirby's Adventure.

  • missed Dream Land 2 at 2:30, still awesome though

  • Dude, you got hit a lot, even by an N-Z!

4:34 Kirby...get your face out of there.

  • I thought the first part was also from 64, just the main boss theme rather than the Sub-Noss them.

  • What's the Master Ability?

  • Meta Knight´s sword I guess.

  • Yep indeedy. In that game *spoiler* Meta Knight gives it to you so you can beat the final boss.

  • meta knights sword, like danteplyx said

  • The best part is the Kirby 64 part!

  • "yo"

"o hai, we'll be waving in the same spot so feel free to kill us"

    "nah, imma just dancin lol"

  • I love the normal boss music in squeak squad. (I'm talking about when the actual boss' aren't squeaks.)

  • what about kirbys dreamland three

  • My favorite part was Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards! It was epic...-ly epic! *Mumbles under voice* "So off topic!"

  • Kirby and Meta Knight are just playin around throughout the fight! Then they decide to pick on King Dedede! XD

  • lol

  • the orignal supertar is rare as hell but ultra is just as good

  • Really? I still have my copy, and I occasionally play it.

  • Oh yeah I realised this

Why Wispey Woods wasn't a boss in Brawl

He's a Big pick IMO and besides he IS the MOST COMMON BOSS IN THE Kirby SERIES!

  • hes not strong enough . besides he a backround character in the green greens melee and ssb64 dream land stage.

  • Computer Virus FTW!

But Fire Owl brought back bad memories of Boss Endurance...

  • Isn't the boss music from Amazing Mirror the same as Dreamland 2? Though that song originated in Kirby's Adventure anyway.

I wish they had the original Dreamland's boss song.

  • WHAT?

  • o-O I'M BLAZIKEN1234'S COUSIN. Lol

  • LOL!!

  • This is an OK start...

Yep, Kirby's Dreamland 2 Boss is definitely in there. About Kirby Super Star, you could have downloaded an emulator, a ROM of Kirby Super Star, plus the original MP3 to create the footage.

Not to mention... sound effects! Overlay original MP3s (or disable certain sound channels in an emulator) to get rid of them.

And, I believe that it is better to mix the original and Brawl instead of playing all of the originals and then playing the Brawl track.

  • Thanks triple C!

Yeah, seeing how I have some of the worst programs out there, and I'm not *allowed* to download ROMs, it's harder for me to make these kinds of videos as good as I want them to. I'll see if I can figure it out in future History Behind Smash Music videos.

  • Well, like I said, this isn't a bad start. A little refining would go a long ways. :D

But what do you mean you're not *allowed* to download ROMS?

  • My parents think ROMs are illegal since they're technically pirated games. I mean I don't know why, but they just do. If I'm going to use video games on Youtube, I either have to borrow footage from people on Youtube, or actually buy the game and capture it from there.

Thanks for your encouragement though, I think I might do a History Behind Dedede's moves next!

  • Let me guess... You're using some sort of centrally-located, used-by-everybody family computer, aren't you?

  • Kirby Super Star. Nuff said, well actually if you think about it almost all the inspiration of the Smash Bros series is pretty much derived from that game like Master/Crazy Hand, Shields, All Star/Boss Battles (Just another Arena o_0), 90% of Trippe D's move set, The Halberd... the list goes on!

  • I know, I'm planning on doing the history behind the Halberd, Dedede's Moves, and Smash Bros. Techniques sometime this week.

I guess Sakurai just loves re-using old ideas! :D

  • And much of the subspace emissary was taken from kirby series as well, such as the elevators, horizontal launch pads, two-player including p2's warp, and much more. plz make a vid about that too

  • mainly from kirby superstar, including TONS of music and musical cues, level design (and the fact the halberd is a stage in the game doesnt hide that very well), themes and motifs, and gameplay elements which include those you mentioned and the doors, switches, those launching pads and canoons (although they look more modern)

  • Well; I mean that's a given. Smash Bros had a huge part of it made by "Hal" or "Hai"; and they're the guys behind kirby. I was told the original kirby was way too strong in Smash Bros, so that only furthers my point. Then again; it's possible Hal/Hai stopped working on Brawl; so I dunno how good my point is in the end.

  • this rocks so hard, please please please make more history videos

  • Good job. But you forgot Kirby's Dreamland 2 boss theme.

  • eiremoonblossom is right... you forgot the boss theme from Kirby's Dream Land 2 (see 2:30)

  • the first one can also refer to Nightmare in dreamland

  • I know. ^_^ But I figured since Kirby N.i.D. was a remake of Kirby's Adventure, and that I had Kirby's Adventure on the Virtual Console, I'd use the original instead to make the song feel like it goes all the way back to Kirby's 8-bit days. Actually feeling like its the HISTORY behind the song.

  • yeah thats true lol your right , but man did sakurai(creator of smash brothers) really put allot of the songs on this one but hey he loves kirby, kirby's been his favorite franchise.

  • Of course it is! He MADE the Kirby series! HAL Laboratories (AKA, Sakurai's company that pairs with Nintendo) created Kirby and Smash Bros.! That's why I'm going to make a "History Behind Smash Bros. Techniques" someday. (Example, wall jumping, I'm pretty sure one of the first games to use something like that was Kirby Super Star)

  • I see well theres another reason!

  • Can I make a suggestion?

I think that the Smash attack option derived from Mother, where you sometimes may get a Smaaaaaaash! chance that does double damage than normal

  • Oh yeah, I know about those. But I don't have any of the Mother games, and I think it was covered by CCC in one of his videos about items. The homerun bat, it makes a smash sound that sounds the same.

But it was a smart idea though! ^_^ Just like the rest of your History Behind Smash Bros. Brawl!

  • There's one song you forgot. A portion of Kirby's Dream Land 2's boss theme (plays between the Adventure and Super Star boss themes).

  • This is a good start, but a couple of things -

    1) Sound effects. Find MP3s of the original music and overlay it in the video. (Google search "Galbadia Hotel")

    2) The second song comes from Kirby Super Star.

    3) I would suggest cutting up the Brawl track and juxtapose the original version to the Brawl version.

But at any rate, this a good start.

  • Thank you for your advice! ^_^ I'll remember it if I do any future videos behind brawl music!

  • Also, I know it came from Super Star, I was saying since I didn't have the original I had to use the remake, which had the same songs. (Not the same versions, but the same melodies.)
