  • Let The Brig flourish

  • My mother watched this video today and she said it brought tears to her eyes. She was born and raised in Coatbridge and immigrated to Canada in April 1959. Thank-you for providing the fond memories !! My grandfather was Richard (Dick) Hamilton and was a milk man for many years and then became a bartender for many years to follow. If anyone thinks they knew any of the Hamilton's .. let me know!

    Cheers :)

  • This takes me back too, to a friendlier era altogether, the pic of Whifflet Cross reminds me of when at just 8yrs of age we walked to Gibson;s Church (round the corner from the Big Tree) to go to the Brownie's. Got chips and walked back home, all of us the same age, no parents around and sometimes we got the bus; the chips were threepence and the bus fare one and three halfpence. Seeems a hundred yrs ago but is in fact only 50!!!!!

  • this is brilliant man

  • Absolutely brilliant upload mate, I'm only 16 but it's brilliant having a look at these photos.

  • God it takes me back...brill.
