Many thanks for posting this and other videos from Joao Gilberto's famous TV show. Just one thing that I don't quite understand: in the beginning, Gilberto is seen playing guitar. But after Rita Lee shows up, he stands up with a mic in his hand instead of guitar. Is this because of the editing?

Mas é o guitarrista cearense Geraldo Vespar que imita com perfeição a batida de João que se ouve, contínua, ao fundo. Infelizmente não se pode ver Geraldo nessas imagens, mas parece que ele trabalhava para a TV Globo na época.

Happens that, guitarist Gerard Vespar perfectly mimics the beat of João that we continue to hear in the background.
