The guy playing face here is Tim Dunigan. He was later replaced by Dirk Benedict because the directors and editors believed he was way to young for the role as no one would believe he was a Vietnam war veteran because Vietnam was actually going on when he was a sophomore in high school, The editors and directors originally wanted Dirk but were overridden by network executives. Dunigan played in this 2 part episode "The Mexican slayride" and Benedict was replaced in the 3rd episode "Children of

@TheMightyMrPlow Apparently all of the crazy stuff from the first couple of seasons was all Dwight's idea. The people in charge would get upset with him, but end up putting it in anyway. About the third season, the writers started trying to write crazy for him, but he rarely used their stuff because he didn't like it. Only around season 4 did he start liking and using their material. That's what I heard anyway. Dwight is so awesome!
