HCBaily, doesn't it get annoying switching equipment in and out for each battle. I can understand doing it for bosses or if you are going through a dungeon where most enemies have one weakness, but for individual battles it just seems like a pain. Just smash them with swords.

Would you want to hang out with your ex-boyfriend after he gets married? Short version: No, not really. They just kind of toss her aside like a rag doll. Too bad.

Erim is basically the judge of humanity. I really, really wish they dealt more with Arek and his role in all that, he appears only in the intro and is almost never mentionned ever again. He also only speaks with Erim in the intro, which is unusual.

Seriously, it's obvious that Iris is something more than just a normal person right from the beginning. If you played the first game, and watched the intro scene, there's a good chance you would have figured it out already. And, if you hadn't, it shouldn't come as a major surprise.

That being said, I like how the game handles the "big reveal." It's subtle, but obvious at the same time. I approve.

So at this point in the game Blaze is almost useless. More and more monsters are going to have skills that hit all enemies and that will kill Blaze almost everytime. His defense is just too low, and if he doesnt die he will most likely run away. Normally around this point I switch to Foomy in his master form because 1. barely anything is strong against him 2. He will never run away 3. he has good attack and good defense.

Personally, I think the DS version had a better reveal of Iris. In the DS version, she helps you out MUCH more, so it's more painful and more shocking to see her become Erim than in this one, where if you didn't watch the intro you would have had no idea.

Usually, when a bad guy lets the hero live, i feel that the bad guy is just being fucking stupid, having hubris. But with Iris, it works. It makes it feel as though the sinestrals think in mysterious ways, like demi-gods. I think it's a nice touch. They do such good work the scenes and dialog in this game. It's such a shame almost everything else is mediocre.

@RockBanned Oh yea, the puzzles are good. Very nifty. But there's too little music, and none of it stands out to me. Too little of everything, really. It becomes repetitive very fast. That's just me though. It's still better then the first one in terms of the aforementioned statements.

Its also a little play on how things try and disguise themselves (i.e. game villains) as something else, but in the end you can't really change their nature no matter how its disguised.
