High school student trainer here and this sums up everything for the idiotic players that think that the athletic trainer will kill them with concussion ju ju
alright this is by far one of my faverite video here, this and the ode to athletic trainers, i plan to go to the University of New Hampshire when i graduate high school (im a freshman) and will be majoring in athletic trainig. this video is sooo funny!! i love it, ive watched it atleast 20 time in the last month, its so catchy and the lyrics just get stuck in youre head :P
Just wanted to let you know that I show this in my Care and Prevention class when we talk about what an athletic trainer does, and the first time we saw it we made sure every athlete that came into the athletic training room saw it too (they still talk about it)! Good job, guys...We love it!
Great video!!! I am working towards changing careers into Athletic Training with an MSAT. Loved the video...talks to key elements of athletic training in a real clever and entertaining way. Well done!!!!
I watched this like 10 times a few months ago and I had to watch it again! It gets better everytime I watch it! Sorry I missed it @ NATA. You guys rock!
@Katbaby50 There is an easy way to open you tube at your school. It's a matter of opening you tube's ip address using the command prompt. Google it and remember a few phrases and your set.
As a 2002 JMU AT grad this video is awesome. An ATC colleague of mine actually pointed out the video to me here at our Sports Medicine clinic in Onalaska, Wisconsin. It is great to see that not only is this video amazing but that JMU has continued the long tradition of producing excellent athletic trainers who are passionate about the profession. Great work!!!
Hey guys I am a recently certified ATC from Lindenwood University in Missouri and I think you guys did an Awesome job here with this video. We showed it in just about all our classes nice touches on it. How did you manage to remix it like that? Great work and Keep promoting the Profession!!!!
Hey There....Just wanted to let you know that your viedo is amazing!! We have just started an Athletic Training Society at my college in Louisiana....Maybe one day soon...we can make a video that you can watch and be proud of!! Thanks for the smiles...and showing that its not Trainer....but ATHLETIC TRAINER!! LOL. :)
I know how you guys feel about "Athletic Trainer," so I'd like to point out as a sports information professional that they're called "Student-Athletes," never "Athletes." But I'm just having some fun. Nice work.
We watched this video as a class. Good job guys! But i find it sad that the "related videos" include so many personal training stuff even though this video was made to promote correct terminology...
Great work - very well done! I know it's not your fault, but I think it's fitting that youtube lists "similar" videos after this one is finished and also along the left side of the page....the most "similar" seem to be about horse "trainers"!!! Ha! We still have a long way to go....
Hey everyone, we really appreciate all the love. It is great to see all of you sharing our enthusiasm for our video, but more importantly for athletic training! To passionate athletic trainers and students across the country-- keep educating the public in order to increase AT awareness!
Absolutely AMAZING video! I have already watched this like three times today and plan on watching it more. I have also passed it along to my fellow ATS's at Iowa State!
@Jacobyou1 actually, we usually end up asking them more. You can get a great deal of information about the injury just from asking basic stuff like how it happened, where it hurts most, can they move it, pain scale etc. This helps narrow down the probable problem, so that you can perform tests to figure out what the real problem is/could be.
This video doesn't just raise the bar for how to promote Athletic Training, it rewrites the book. The people behind this video are very creative and probably have more ideas to promote the profession. Without a doubt, this video should be shown at NATA, and with the speed it is spreading through the profession it shouldnt be long before someone at the top sees it. And lastly, this video is not just AMAZING, it is EPIC!!
Thanks for everyone's support! Please pass this video along to all of your AT affiliates... we're on a mission to promote AT as best as we can. Thanks again.
Loved this video, and am currently at JMU we just saw it in my US health care systems class, can't wait to be an AT!!!
