  • Oh yes. This is very amazing!

  • Cool

  • love it!

  • Very nice, except it's not from J.S. Bach, it was composed by Gottfried Heinrich Stöltzel.

  • Yep, Stöltzel composed the original, but J. S. Bach basically did the whole continuo, harmonization etc.

Or his wife did. That's up to the musicologists to decide ;)

  • @syntesen haha educated people who needs em :)

  • Yep, I like this music, Thank You

  • Where can i find this recording?

  • Amazing job!!!!

  • Very lovely-- however, possible wrong notes in the bass line at :22 and 1:02. I would check those.

  • No, the bass line seems to be alright, I have the sheet music in front of me.

  • I'm not convinced - isn't the bass line at 20 - 23 supposed to be harmonically identical to the passage at 1:21-1:23? The latter passage - where the bass line goes (quarter notes) g - e flat - g - a flat - sounds correct ... whereas (what I'm assuming should be ) the same bass line in the first example goes: g - e flat - g , and then f -- it sounds wrong going to that f . Doesn't it go to a-flat both times?

  • It does, you're right. I was only looking at one of them; not comparing the two. At both points they use notes within the chord, but only the one at 1:21 is true to the original bass line.

  • sounds like a xmas song!

  • There is something about Bach and synth that meld so nicely. You've done a great job here.

  • wish I could play like that on my microkorg , you are on my playlist also with the first Brandenburg

  • I appreciate this, greatly and that it is in stereo!

  • yes there's something about this recording that's very Beautiful.

  • Best Yet!

  • Good job, I think the bass and melody could use a little more isolation for contrast as the whole thing seemed somewhat melded but I can still get that by toying with my equalizer.

  • Sounds better, more intimate, than the original WC version.

  • A more accurate translation of the song title is "If you're beside me" (literally "are you with me"), rather than "abide by me".

  • I am singing this song in school right now and I think you did a really great job with it. Please make more!!

  • Another great piece of work and ditto realized! Absolutely beatiful work with the dynamics, and one really got to admire the strong ARP 2600 sound!

  • You never get this kind of thing with clearly a lot of thought in it these days.

  • keep it up dude! this iz amazingly awsum.

  • Syntesen - Loved the sound of this. We dont have enough retro Synth sounds thesedays. Played an Arp 2600 15 years ago and I have a large library of samples from it to keep me occupied.

  • This is sensational -- really beautiful.

    Thanks for posting
