I recommend this to all my clients thinking about a VBAC. Nothing in life is without risks, but the risks of uterine rupture after a single cesarean are the same as they are for a woman who has never given birth. Take the time to educate yourself and decide FOR YOURSELF if the risks are acceptable. In doing so, consider that cesarean is major abdominal surgery & not without risk itself. Subsequent cesareans exponentially increase in risks. Educate yourself. Your baby will thank you.
I thank you for sharing your journey so openly! You are inspirational. Yes, it's difficult to watch, but too many of us have no idea what we and our babies are missing. Yes, some surgical births are necessary, but the fact is that the true number is quite small. Unnecessary c-sections are robbing us of more than we even realize! If parents never see the differences, how will we know? Thank you for your courage.
Wow that was amazing! Definite deal breaker for me. I got my husband to watch it too and he was crying, haha! I really want the whole experience that a natural birth brings. I know i am more than capable of having a successful vbac... Why? Because I can!
I have watched your video before, but it was awhile ago and it didn't make me cry any less this time! I had my hbac last summer and it was also an amazing experience!
It's painful to watch my cesareans, but especially my middle daughter's. It looks like it had to have been so hard for her, and I get tears every time.
the contrast is so stark! i'm curious, do you/have you watched the cesarean birth of your first two girls? as an outsider, watching them take your 2nd daughter from the womb was very uncomfortable for me to watch (it just looked like such a struggle and not comfortable for her at all). i think if i was the mother, i may not have been able to watch it all even though it was just a few minutes. so happy for you that you got to have a fulfilling birth experience at home. (belated) congratulations
I'm in tears. I was pressured into a csection with my baby girl. I'm determined to have a vbac and have been considering a home birth (we hasn't even started trying yet for #2). You are truly an inspiration, thank you for sharing your story. You really inspire me to birth at home.
Got me all reared up! I blame the pregnancy hormones. But hats off to you for doing so well. My sins birth was horrid and he screamed but my daughters was also a water birth and she didn't cry. She was such a peaceful happy baby.
oh mama, you brought me to tears so many times in this video, with every single one of your births. You are a strong, capable, BEAUTIFUL woman! Congratulations! How inspiring!
