@MarkOpee1 Man I can't stand the 500 word limit on YouTube. Anyways these two band bring out the Bible and preach the love of God. They tell how they were addicted to drugs and Christ saved them from it. They say how much Christ changed their lives and how his love can change others. Neither one of these bands brought out a state of Ecstasy in anybody there, but many people excepted Christ as Lord and Savior. I excepted Christ at a Disciple concert, and I found his love there.

These guys really love the Lord, and you can see that once you actually attend on of their concerts. Loud Ecstatic music is Secular Heavy Metal. It's completely different and because they led me to Christ I just can't see how it's the same thing as what Paul was talking about. i think Bride was one of the most overlooked metal bands. look around at all the pabalem of the late 80's and early 90's. They were one of the only bands able to reinvent themselves without seeming like cheesy posers. in fact they were face melting and without watering down their message or being so preachy that only christians would listen to them. Ever notice many bands say their all about evangelism, but write stuff that turns off everyone except people who are already believers?

@MarkOpee1 I became a Christian because of a Christian Heavy Metal band. They stay sober unlike Metallica where everyone becomes intranced into the music. It's completely different and because they led me to Christ I just can't see how it's the same thing as what Paul was talking about. Anyways this is the last thing I will post on this subject, but thank you for all the wonderful scriptures about staying sober and sharing Christ love with the lost.

So DC Talk is not of God, Degarmo and Key is not of God, and rap groups like Christ Movement are not of God. How can you say someone who loves Christ and is leading people to Him is doing the wrong thing. This is a contradiction don't you think. It's legalistic and doesn't make any since. No more no less

Concerning dc talk please google for "DC Talk Exposed!" and read about their heresy and love of video producer Simon Maxwell who worked for them. Then you will see, how close they are to Christ. The pro blem is, that "Christian" lyrics don't mean anything, if the music and lifestyle contradict the Bible. this is truly SATANIC deceiption the bible warns us so often for the last times.

I remember in Summer Praise '94 seing them after they got hair cuts, and no one recognized themat all when they came out and did their own sound check which led into them openning with this song! Then the crowd rushed to the stage! After this song Dale Thompson said "You didn't recognize us with our hair cuts, did you?!" It was a great show that they did!

The song explains how people today try to relate to Jesus as though he were just a hippie who had a few followers instead of realizing he was the Christ. This just shows that pfootball43 didn't listen to the lyrics and passed judgement using zero information. The song is talking about how people look at Jesus as just an icon and not as Christ. Never once in the song does it say that Jesus used drugs. This song also won a Dove award so it has the respect of the Christian music establishment. You should do your research before embarrassing yourself with uninformed comments.

i think Bride was one of the most overlooked metal bands. look around at all the pabalem of the late 80's and early 90's. They were one of the only bands able to reinvent themselves without seeming like cheesy posers. in fact they were face melting and without watering down their message or being so preachy that only christians would listen to them. Ever notice many bands say their all about evangelism, but write stuff that turns off everyone except people who are already believers?
