I saw something like this fly over my house the other day. Awkwardly angled wings and the propeller in the back of the aircraft.

LOL there was an airshow at Hickory NC over 18 years ago. We saw the Verieze and Burt Rutan explaining to us how WE can build one too! :D

This and the Velocity are both knock-offs of the original (Verieze/Long EZ) designed by Mr. Rutan.

Info about the Varieze is incorrect. Varieze has 1000-1200 mile range, depending on configuration. Also, many are faster than the Cozy; again, depends on actual configuration.

The EZ is a nice plane, but if you fly IFR much you will come to appreciate side by side seating. There is something to be said for having a copilot when you're "in the soup."

Extra eyes and hands are a huge benefit when the soups on.

60k ish to build or buy, you can get a VariEZE for about 20k but it has half the range and is only 2 seats. also a bit slower. same basic design though.
