yeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!! ive been looking for this song for 20 years and could never find it ANYWHERE this is my favorite Duke song of ALL TIME
GD...this cat is in the same category as the DUDE....so far ahead of his time...the diversity his music carries moves all listeners like a tidal wave...from smooth tunes like this to classic funk & r& b traxs from the 70's up till the present time. Thanks for the gem dotz2ro & for the share Trent....
Got the album over 20 tears ago, this was my best track. If 'Children of the night' could be uploaded i'd be so greatful. They don't do music like this anymore which is so sad but glad I've experienced this music.
i bought this on cassette 20 years ago a day after i graduated high school! i used to play it all the time, and i stil have the same copy! i need to find the cd, though..it has another bonus track on it, "fuzzzion"......excellent work by george on the sythns and john robinson on the drums!!
saw dr. george duke in concert twice...great talent. first time i heard his voice on one of his albums i thought it was someone else singing. lol. his voice is very unique i can listen to him all day long. thanks for posting--htp
. Duke's other high-profile collaborators include Jean-Luc Ponty, Stanley Clarke, Billy Cobham, Cannonball Adderley, his cousin Dianne Reeves, Deniece Williams, Jeffrey Osborne, George Clinton, Anita Baker, Regina Belle, Rachelle Ferrell, Marilyn Scott and Mike Mainieri's fusion group Steps Ahead, for whom he produced the track "Magnetic Love."
Hey this is a great song from an even greater album. He hit the spot and so many great tracks, if anyone has the album, check out 'children of the night'. This is a vinyl LP I aint getting rid of...
Man, this song works on so many levels. Perfect for a lazy sunday groove or for cruising the coast on a sunny day, or even for an evening chillin. Excellent track, brotha. Oh and sad to see Msfunks comment on here....damn i miss her. Peace...
I'm so mad that someone stole this lp from me years ago! Can you believe that I still have the freaking cover, but NO LP! :( This was my main jam from it. Thank you so much for posting this!
@Muziclvr07 Hey I know how you feel!!!!! That M+*@~r F*+^@R needs to be arrested by the Music police for a very serious offence!!!! ;-)) I have had so much music lent out but never came back.....Oh Thank you for this post.........
And you knwo this used to be my damn song back in 1990...how dare you post this before me!!! LOL...just kidding!! Excellent looking out, bru!!! Straight to favorties
Well, it don't get much sweeeter than this..I am humbled and full of appreciation for the honor of being able to be introduced to this beautiful George Duke..the beauty of YouTube..
