THQ is a great game producing group but come on , if they used the graphics only for the damn opening why not for the game. seriously a stupid move on their part this game would of kicked so much ass if the moves and wrestlers looked like that

They didn't because they COULDN'T. There's no way the ps2 could handle graphics like that in-game, and even if it could, not in 2001. At the time the graphics looked great in-game.

Seriously, the PS2 can't actually handle them sort of graphics as in-game graphics.

If you've ever played Driver or Driver 2 on PS1 and watched the cutscenes, they look like advanced PS2 graphics, but we know the PS1 could never handle them in-game.

Still.. the graphics could've been better, more like SYM. But what's done is done. lol.

Actually, I don't know why you got thumbs down on that, a special Attitude Era game would be great! Just replace the WWF logo's for the WWE logo's, and use the retro WWF Championship belt, retro RAW is WAR, retro SmackDown! arena, and it features all/most of the wrestlers from 1998-2001, as well as how they looked then, i.e. The Rock's side burns, old attires, etc.

It in no way paved the way to 07 and 08, apart from it being in the game series.

It is nothing like 07 / 08 and I'd much prefer to play Here Comes The Pain than Smackdown 07. 08 I cant comment on as I havent got it yet cuz it only just got released in the UK. But this game was ok.. alot of it was just Smackdown 2 with an updated roster and better graphics.

The only good thing about the game is that Jerry Lynn was in it and Stone Cold's theme music had two remixes of his original one, The one that Disturbed did and a slowed down instrumental one that was bad ass. But I can't find that song anywhere.

THis game is also missing a few wrestlers: X-Pac, Justin Credible, Crash Holly, Too Cool, RVD, Booker T...
