really enjoy seing further development of the secondary theme from the first movement of the sonata in book 1 juxtaposed with a rhythmic nod to the 4th movement/finale here. I think this could have served as coda material (at least partial) to close the work out rather than treat it as a separate piece but it's still cool nontheless.

It's kinda strange. After I first heard this arrangement of Sinister Sundown - a theme I never really liked that much - I was like "Yeah, nice - next one" and COMPLETELY forgot about it. And then, because I was bored, I listened to it a second time and it absolutely caught my attention. And now it's easily one of my favourite tracks of the piano collections.

@anotherChow Yeah, I bought Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections Field and Battle from there, and it's really good. It takes some time, maybe a week or so depending on how much you order, because they have to import their stuff directly from Japan.I've never shopped at squaresound, but I'd go with Otaku personally. Hope this helped!

Well I can tell you is Squarsound is very reliable :) because that is where I purchased my KH Piano collections book so that's one safe :) . as for otaku... I too have been looking into that myself... and it looks alright... but don't quote me! haha

@bachu95 I've never tried playing concert paraphrase (only first heard it yesterday :o ), but Jenova is significantly easier than Revolutionary Etude. Jenova is a lot easier than it sounds (I think :), so I would guess something like 5.5 for Jenova and 9ish for Chopin?.

Look here champ. what makes this song sound so hard is the speed. :) From what I am understanding is that you have been playing piano for 6 to 7 years? I am going to be very honest with you; if you practice your scales, your capable of reading a left and right hand treble clef and can do an automatic switch to a left hand bass clef and right hand treble clef while jumping your left hand over right...then this piece shouldn't be to hard. Be aware to count slow and know your fingering!

But then again it really deals with how much time you're willing to spend on this piece, your advantages, and how far along you are with your theory. :D In no way am I saying that this is going to be impossible for you but if you haven't even touch base with reading a double treble clef (meaning you're reading both left and right hand in treble clef), then you might want to talk and work with your teacher. That's what I did with my teacher for the Concert Paraphrase of Dearly Beloved

the original piano collections had no pieces that were stupidly difficult, although some of them had their challenging moments and i have played for 9 years now,

however, this compilation appears to be trickier by sound, but on paper they probably are not too bad,

this is a great piece, one of my favs :D x

riku's one was not too bad, as when the left hand had lots to do, the right hand didn't and vice versa.

the other promise was pretty difficult, but these new pieces sound difficult, but on paper are probably nothing too impossible, great piece!

@LMPianoPlayer lol! yeah all of these pieces are much more difficult than the first one! in my opinon, the most difficult ones in the first one were Finale: Working Together, 3rd Movement Riku, and Concert Paraphrase on Dearly Beloved (obviously lol) but these ones all take a considerable amount of skill to accomplish...oh and good luck to you too! :D what's the first one you are going to cover?

Good God!!! man that's a lot of years!!! lol I've been playing for about 7 years lol and im laughing at myself cause i had a hard time with 'The Other Promise' but an easier time playing 'Riku' haha. :) the way i learned it was i practice my F minor (or A flat Major) scales A LOT and then i sight read and played the song so slow that it made a snail look like a cheeta lol

@LMPianoPlayer i never had a teacher =/ i taught myself how to play, went online to learn how ot read music, and watched youtube for inspirations lols. its pretty frustrating when you see peopole like Verdegrand that have been playing for 25 years and are absolutely amazing with technique and knowledge of classical music and stuff and then i go hme and struggle with stuff that they already have down cause they basically memorized bachs like eleventybillionth etude no.6 or something, idk lmao...

For me, This album is a mirror, a flip-flopper to how I feel about KH melodies.

Every song I loved from the series sounds rubbish on this album, yet every theme I disliked is the complete opposite.
