you know, this was made with the python scripting language with a 3d render plugin called panda3d

python is generally considered like very limited and 2D only so this is quite an accomplishment IMO

Only the first two Monkey Island games are good, by general consensus, the last two were crap.

Really? From what I've seen around the web, many people considered the third one a great game, but die-hard fans dismissed it because of the absence of Ron Gilbert, and the new cartoony graphical style, probably a bit like with Wind Waker I suppose.

i think 3d graphics are becoming more beautiful and that's the reason adventure games are released again. though i doubt that they will reach the standards of handmade games of the 90s. handmade is always better...
