He's FAR from the best drummer in the metal scene. Lars was my main when I began drumming, though. In the pre-Load/ReLoad years he had some of the quickest feet I've seen. Justice is still one of the most difficult albums to cover. Only because he's in Metallica people think he's the best and such.

I"ve been a Metallica fan since I bought Kill em All on wax "way back in the long long ago" Lars is a fantastic rock drummer, plays better than overrated rock drummers like Tommy overrated Lee and "Rikki Rocket" et,al. . As a person though he's evolved into a conceited prick. Met him twice while working local rock promotions in my city and sat with him pre and post show for some time. And if you've seen "Some Kind of Monster" it really shows. Still though love his playing for this band.
