call of duty 1 had the best online multiplayer, my favourite was the realtime bullet delay it made being a sniper an ART to operate now COD makes it easy with instant bullet impact witch is pretty crappy :(

Anyone who played this online will know that the level 'poisson' was the best level EVER! they need to put that level in the new games and that would make the £15 map pack price actually worth it. You could have epic sniper battles, awesome shotgun and assualt rifle battles and when you could drive up to a moving tank in a motorbike and side car, jump out, climb up the tank and throw a grenade into and blow it up you were like 'HELL YEAH!' that feeling is impossible in the new games ......:(

Call of duty's have the most repetitive campaigns Honestly, I do the same thing in every installment, but the ac130 and the one gunship mission in world at war really break up the monotonous gameplay. I like the game, just not the campaigns

@Thalmoral I thought world at war was by far the most boring campaign of all of them. It was fun to play through, but story wise it was the worst IMO. I did like that airplane mission you're talking about, that was really cool and different but the story in world at war was kind of useless. you found black ops repetitive? I thought that was a pretty decent story, more creative and interesting than the other CoD's & better than most FPS's

I think cod 3 feels more like war than the mw series. in cod 3 you are with a larger group of soldiersand you fight against a smaller group of enemies that are about the same size as your side, maybe a little more.

and in mw you are with like 1 persona nd you fight agains 100000000000000000000000000000­00000000000000000000000 enemies alone, like you are some sort of almost invincible ninja

People that think the newer CoD games are bad really need to look at it from the developers point of view. From CoD1 all the way to MW3, its the exact same game. The graphics, weapon options and perks are different but the core game is the same. The reason that is is because it would be a bad business move to make the game any different because the reason people loved it will be gone. They keep it the same they make billions.

@videomayn7 tanks fall under "weapon options" and it didn't have an amazing story, it just had a story. Shit multiplayer and good survival mode is all opinion. The problem is they shouldn't be making a new game every year. If they are going to put it a single player they should take the time to make a REAL story that last longer then 4 hours and if they are just going to upgrade the multiplayer then they shouldn't call it a new game. all in all its always been the same, just with shit added.

That's the reason why they stopped taking loaner games. It took them over a year to finally sit down, play, and review them.

Fitting brand new games into a premade schedule is probably difficult.

I like Treyarch better because they always focus on the campaign more than Infinity Ward. IW just rehashes the same multiplayer experience but they add more killstreaks, so pretty soon there will be no guns because there are 400 killstreaks all over the place. THEN, they put in a crappy SP mode that makes no sense and a ludicrous story that has you on a hunt killing a General of the US Army? WTF.

I loved the online for this. You had vehicles and much larger maps. It was like battlefield buy without destructibility. It was a time and era where the rage quit didn't exist. It was just relaxing video games.
