If you look at the timer in the game, it is counting down the seconds at an unmodified speed.

No prob. The capture device records the matches at 29.777 frames per second, which might result a slightly different visual effect since Brawl runs at 60 frames per second. I believe it's because of this that it appears to be moving faster.

Would you say Brawl is more fun than Melee? My friend at school told me that Brawl is much more different than Melee, but once you get used to it, it's really fun. Is that true?

If you're used to Melee, then Brawl will feel really awkward to you. After you play it for a while you get used to it pretty quickly. And yes, Brawl is so much more fun than Melee. When I go back and play Melee I think "I could be playing Brawl instead."

Smash Balls were on because I wanted to test them in a competitive environment, they're fun, they speed up gameplay (we were under time constraints), and since this was a lot of people's first time playing Brawl they wanted to see Final Smashes. I'm very sure you won't be seeing them being used in the majority of tournaments.

It's just your standard special attack (make sure not to hold any direction when you use it). You can use them in the air too. The default Final Smash button for the GCN controller is "B".

I'd be happy to, but I intend to learn the nuances of the game and characters before I jump out and start challenging people. I know Brawl is different from Melee, but most people I've talked to said that if you've got some Melee skill, you can jump right into Brawl in fairly little time.

I dunno if it's easier. I sort of don't pay attention to Short Hops anymore. There really is no L-canceling. Each aerial has a set amount of lag when you hit the ground. I'm guessing the people who say there is L-canceling might be mixing it up with auto-cancels.

You can l-cancel but you dont do it as you do in melee. You have to fastfall before you do your attack to l-cancel in Brawl.

It's very helpful, just as it was in Melee. Yes, it might be easier for you, and I got used to it quickly in Brawl. Every once in a while I would jump and then attack too quickly, so all I ended up doing was just the jump.

kirby's FS isnt exactly a presise FS but it does have a AOE that ends at a certain point, if you imagine a 4-6 kirby radius around your kirby thats around its range, the best way to use it tho is in an arial battle since the closer you are to the top of the stage the better chance for a KO

I think if there's a barrier between you and your opponent, Cook Kirby won't catch them. Also, I thought there was a range limitation but sometimes it grabs from really far and other times it doesn't.
