You did very well but instead of having so much minerals you could have also produced lings and queens for injections, also, even though the cybernetics core was powered down from loss of pylons you should kill it anyway because they can still build sentries and stalkers without it being powered as long as the gateways are.

Warning: don't get in a hyper-aggressive mindset. In this video, HD states that the rule of thumb is to go for aggression. However, the real rule of thumb if you've done this much damage and you don't feel any progress otherwise, just double expand! get more income and roll over him 20 minutes later! This game was an exception, as he definitely had enough to completely beat his opponent. Try and expand while you're doing that! (You can see he got heavy on the minerals)

Hydras. Why do so many Zerg players struggle with Void Rays? I think I've played a little over 100 games as Zerg and lost to Void Rays once, maybe twice if there's a time I'm forgetting, but I've always remembered thinking 'wow, :Protoss players who go Void Ray always lose I can't imagine why they use that strategy.'

i wanted him to use lings. if he has no gas but 500 banked minerals you should either be making drones or lings. lings and roaches are one the scariest things a protoss can see in his base when he has no army and hes making stalkers. but over all it was a good video :)

@chrisUKmanutd It's how you warm up your motoric activity and setting your neural system to a faster pace so that you will react faster and issue orders earlier, ecpesially in micro intensive moments (your hand won't mowe faster, but you will clik earlier, albeit closer to your units, it still does matter during attack-step back tactics or spreading).

By the way, HD, it would be nice to see some transitions from such all-out single-unit pushes.

meh protoss auto FE is terrible idea against zerg. Only FE to play catch up game vs Zerg FE, never other way around cause zerg will chose 1base roaches and roll you.

@Atheist269 canons and wall offs, as a protoss i have learned that a proper walloff and several canons are great vs 1 base zerg roach play. i always get a least 2 canons when FE, and scouting is necesary, in all times you should have a unit in your oponents base, so if you see the roach push coming, put down 3rd, 4th, or even 5th canon BEHIND your forge and gate. just hold off the attack and your economy is going to be so superior that you already got it in the bag

@jwzhu I only use Adblock, and I've never seen an ad on YouTube. I don't know how much you may already know, but make sure: the add-on is actually enabled and is up-to-date (in Firefox, check in Tools>Add-ons>Extensions); that it's turned on (red stop sign icon); and that your subscription is up-to-date (I use EasyList USA -- check in Adblock Preferences). Finally if that doesn't work use "Open blockable items" and block items that have "ad" that aren't red -- I have 4.

@jwzhu It does work on Chrome as well. The exception is that 1/10 videos will show an ad if the video is being viewed via a YouTube partner's channel page, if it's the actual video page- there will be no ad regardless of who uploaded it.

My filters are as follows: AdBlock Custom, Easylist, Easy Privacy, and a custom fourth which is the EasyList found from the AdBlockPlus for Firefox website (a .org).

Be sure to enable the video blocking in general options, though it's beta, it works great.

SP is a zerg favoured map since u can reach late game without worrying about early rushes, and even so the big walking distance u do a roach butst with SLOW roaches. That was terrible, and ur opponent probably have no idea that he use his probes when he has stalkers too, which was way too obvious taht u loose the game if he did. Moreover the way u did it was:i don't deserve to win with that economy management! 1000 mins free,,, it hurts man.

Terran Tutorial: Use a gimmick opening and pray for quick victory vs toss. Or spam tank/rine/medivac vs zerg no matter what zerg does. And you better split rines like Boxer, or you'll lose.

idk, as protoss, it feels like i can't hold the FE as well as terran and they can't get it as early as zerg, so I'd usually not FE as protoss, especially with that roach range, your cannons become kind of a waste of minerals

HDstarcraft made many mistakes, like not getting a second gas to compensate for his late gas and was not rallying his new roaches into battle quick enough. The protoss player wasted money on unwarped cannons, he should have made more gateways for more stalkers or at least not be stupid enough to warp them right in front of the roaches. Sentries could have helped out as well.

We can always find solutions after the game has been played, its rather different while you are playing it. fast expo is easy to beat as Z. what i always lose to is Stalker sentry Colossus off 2 base. If I expo more he attacks with his tossball and I lose. If I mass up units he has colossus by the time I attack and I dont have the eco to get enough corruptors to kill them when he attacks. If I attack early when he tries to expo he might even have a few cannons if he scouted. Im EU 1900 diamond, any good (diamond at least) advice on how to beat this

I don't agree with HD's "If you're about to break them, keep on pushing them" ideology. If you break a protoss fast expand, they will not be able to push your bases. Expo and gain more of a lead. If you keep on pushing then fail, you're back to neutral.
