  • erm i think its perfect but what is it :)))

  • @dgalvarez nice, i know what a vac pump is used for but in my case i would not use it to make a mold or surface coatings but nice job keep up the good work

  • @fungabunga you must be very stupid its not a bong, it's a highly complex pump that removes air from a vessle the oposite of what a bong does

  • how many torr

  • @Xu53r1X

Hello. Arround 1x10-5torr to 1x10-6 torr. But in a good conditions, with 2 hours of running. The purpose of this vacuum pump is to make aluminum mirrors, and other surface coatings. Works very well and in 6 or 7 minutes, with DC704 is making a good vacuum.

  • its a homade bong!?

  • muy impressivo

  • Thanks!! :) Nowadays is better than this old video

  • I have a lathe too! Would you want to share your plans with me?

  • Of course. Give me 2 or 3 days and I will upload some plans or measures to my web page. Have you got webpage?. Do you like physic, electronic, radioactive or high vacuum experiments?

  • So what prompted you to make one instead of purchasing a used one on ebay? Any estimate on the number of hours it took to make. You did a very good job.

  • Yes,I could buy one from ebay, but never with the same characteristics. One difussion pump, with water refrigeration may be a lot expensive than other with air regrigeration. This vacuum pump may be made with recycled parts, and this reduces the final price,

besides, I have a lathe and I want to practice with it. I hope you like my videos. I will upload more and better. Thanks

  • How high of a vacuum have you been able to pull and what type of oil are you using?

  • Dow Corning 704 and around 10^-7torr. I need to measure the vacuum with an inverted magnetron to verify my readings because is more accurate. In this video I´m only testing the heater. The pump is charged with water Thanks
