  • Loved this jam when it first came out! And still do! Her voice just gives me goosebumps!

  • This video inspired Rihanna You Da One

  • what a hot attractive womane

  • SHE WAS FINE AS I DON'T KNOW WHAT.

  • Djimon Hounsou is young as hell in this video..not long came from african. Hes come a long way from being homeless on the street and someone discovering him just for being on the street! but dude does look good...perfect black body. you go Djimon!

  • & Did they put this video of Club MTV for the dance segments on that show back in 91, Soul Train & Dance Party USA, if so, can someone post it up

  • @Cmar102

I think it was autumn, it is appears on a tape of October...

  • THis is old school.I miss the 90s,the 90s was rockin, this song came out 10 years before I went to high school.& This is the remix, anybody know the name of the remix to this, & what part of 1991 was this ?, summer? fall ? spring ?, I know How Can I Ease The Pain was out in the 1st half of 1991 around March or April 91

  • hey, thanks! is there another version of this song?

  • amazing show...after some weed :)) thank youuuu

  • Lisa Fisher is a better singer and she doesn't have to show skin to prove it. Somebody please resurrect the careers of the real singers. Music executives have lost their minds. Now anyone can get a music contract. Wow were stuck with Lady Gaga. I don't see anyone singing this generations songs in 10-years. Even the 80's one-hit wonders are still hits.

  • Her best song along with "On The Upside" (as Xena)..great underratted girl....Her debut proved how great she was..she took to singing seasion, which she preferred, thus no other albums.

  • Lisa Fisher is my favorite backup singer, saw her about 10x with The Rolling Stones and 1x with Tina Turner in 2000. And I remember that Tina said in her concert ....."Tell Mick Jagger, Miss Lisa Fisher belongs to me"!

Great to hear her here with an own song .........she f*cking rocks!!!!!!

  • Can't u just love your artist without trashing another singer? i like Lisa very much, but to compare her to Mariah has no sense. What Mariah has in her voice is absolutely out of this earth, everything else i listened it's just good or ok.It's true that i don't like mariah's recent work, but her early albums are gold to me and i need to listen to them all the time so that i feel alive.

  • @Yes after "Ease the Pain" she sort of fell off the charts. I can remember people such as Patti Labelle giving Lisa Fisher very high praises.

  • I love the song. BTW some of the background vocals sound ChakaKanish

  • Love Ms. Lisa!

  • Is that Kimora Simmons new man in the video?

  • @gyellowmoon that is what I was thinking. I know he used to do music videos prior to acting.

  • @gyellowmoon yes it is him

  • @SuperMusiclover90 Thank you, i was told it was him.

  • Lisa and Lurher was in the group called "Change" their big hit was the song called "Serching" check her out as a background singer for Luther on his "LIVE AT WHEMBLEY" cd...its also on YOUTUBE

  • This was when Lisa Fisher's label took a step backwards when they gave her this uptempo track. They should've stayed persistent with hits like ''How Can I Ease the Pain''. There's nothing wrong with bringing out the fun in a singer by giving them an uptempo track, but they made Fisher sound like another New Jack Swing Diva with this track.

  • @PopCulture20 This remix is actually a VAST improvement over the original album version, which sounded like it came straight out of 1988. It looked like Lisa's label was aiming for the clubs on this one, but it just didn't have that necessary fire, despite Lisa killing it on the vocals. It was just a mediocre, run of the mill dance remix, one of David Morales' few duds.

  • impossible to hate. miss her so much.Luther said she was one of the best female vocalist ever. I think that he was right.

  • Lisa Fischer is so pretty i miss these days

  • man i wish you would finally release a follow up cd

  • I just CANNOT get over this woman, even after 20 years! Female perfection, indeed!

  • Never get tired of this song.

  • @J77147 sound a little like chaka lol.

  • @maxday1000, do you think so lol.

  • @J77147 what about Vesta Williams lol?

  • @maxday1000, I like Vesta Williams.

  • @J77147 reminds me of mikki Howard lol.

  • @maxday1000, Lisa has been

    around a long time.

  • @J77147 i know since 1988 lol.

  • @maxday1000, Before that, Xena - On The Upside

    1984 & before that..

  • Got your Grammy and GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love your style Lisa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!R.I.P Luther Vandross you picked a wonderful backup vocalist in Lisa Fischer

  • She is the best..

Sadto hhear no not mre fo here anyway,She is like a diamant in the sun

  • forgot about this video!!!! This song was an excellent way to open her underrated album which to me is a classic!!!! Fans of Lisa's : don't miss her song "Colors of Love" on the MADE IN AMERICA soundtrack!!

  • WHAT A CD, Jacinta, xxx

  • lisa come back pleeeease!!

  • Former backup singer for Luther Vandross

  • 90's forever.

  • dude reminds u of a black panther..built like one resembles one..the one and Only Dijimon..thats my boyee!

  • Rare play on MTV when it first came out.

    Thank God for YOU TUBE...

  • Lisa wuz too hot man! I prefer the original cut though! Vintage!

  • do you have HOW CAN I EASE THE PAIN video? just cant get rnough of her! miss her voice, her personality, her showmanship!!!

  • AMAZING VIDEO!

  • Yes, I like the original version better. It's faster and has more pop. This one is okay for the club, but not a video. No matter what, Lisa is still the BOMB!!! She just touches my heart...

  • this woman is butter, every time she hits a high note damn

  • i like the original verson to it...maby the original verson woulda got her a nother grammy award..i dont kare i still love lisa fischer..wish she would come out with a album though

  • Cool song, This is the way musice should be.. not too hard core like some rap songs.

  • Lisa your safe with me LOL !

  • Ohhh, Djimon Honsu!

  • Lisa can Sang her azz off! I love her!!!!

  • Love Lisa need more solo work from her =)

  • I agree! Lisa & Chante BOTH have 4 octave ranges, and it's a darn shame they are only very well known in the black culture. I would LOVE to hear more from Lisa. She has an amazing voice. In this day & age we need all the creative talent we can get! And, that includes ALL races, gender, & creative abilities. Have to admit, she's one of my absolute favorites though! Learnning production values from her producer, Lther V. (R I P) only adds to her value. "Wildflower", Luther even sang back-up!!!!

  • She sings with the Rolling Stones. I agree the music coming out in this day and age is lacking, that's why i listen to the old stuff.

    Chante Moore is awsome also.

  • @tweet0626 Lisa got about 5 octaves along with Chante. Chante can reach the 8th octave like Minnie, they both can sing that high. Lisa can reach the 7th octave, and 2nd octave so Lisa has about 4.5 octaves in her prime along with Whitney!

  • @kmaur21 Chante higher than Lisa slightly!

  • @kmaur21 Moore, i really think so but Lisa middle and low voice is more powerful then chante.......

  • @kmaur21 no chante cant i never ever heard her doing that, even tho Minnie discover theres a 8th octave right, but what about shanice, miki Howard, tamia.

  • @maxday1000 No chante can go as high as Minnie and higher than even Mariah. Chante does high notes above the piano in her background and most think its music but its her voice, like Minnie they are both piccalo coloratura where as Lisa is dramatic coloratura like prime Whitney. Lisa can reach 7th octave for sure and easily and go very low so she has about 4.5 to 5 octaves in her prime!

  • The intro sounds similar to Lil Louis "French Kiss"

  • is she a uk artist or us? CLASSIC RED HOT HOUSE JAM LOL.

  • True Whitney and Lisa were the truth in 90's. I rather Lisa be up there with Whitney as oppose to Mariah or Celine. Let the truth be told.

  • What Whitney,Cissy, and Lisa have common they worked with Luther background. Luther sure know the divas who can really really sang!

  • Lisa is no no joke man! From her background to her lead flawless. Very technical singer, and knows the human voice very well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • #11 in pop charts in 1991

  • I was 14 when this came out. the summer of 1991. Me and my friends will sing this song together. Such memories.

  • She sounds like a crossover of Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, and Minnie Riperton.

  • The bass grooves of the eighties and early nineties can't be matched!!!

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!!!!!

    I can't stop moving!

    Lisa is FAN-TAS-TIC

  • I miss real singers like her. Now adays ANYONE can get a deal. Her voice is amazing!

  • how dare you all spam my shit, you guys fucking ruined me life.

  • It reached #2 on the dance charts and #7 on the R&B charts

  • Save the music industry lawd what happen where did all this go and is there hope?

  • I feel like this is a salvia trip

  • This was hot! Loved her chorus part!! Savvvve meee!

  • Djimon Hounsou LOOKS FINE FINE FIIIINE

  • is that who that is?

  • yep

  • Love Lisa. Love any video with Djimon Hounsou. He also looks amazing in Janet's Love Will Never Do without You.

  • we all need to be save

  • When Narada Michael Walden Produced most Of Lisa's Albums He Does Good Job Producing Some Her Singles and Writers Song and He Write and Produced This Album and Luther Vandross Also Produced and Write On Most on Lisa Fischer's Album.

Lisa Fischer's "Save Me" Song Produced,Written and Arragned By Narada Michael Walden For Perfection Light Productions.

"Save Me" Hit Number #2 In 1991 Billboard Charts.

  • #2 on which chart? I thought it only got to #7 R&B.

  • bumbo claat!! yo! this d truth! i hvnt herd da klassiq ya in 11yrs, bigup frankie nelson n squeeze, 4 those who dnt knw?its d twin towers!!yard style, big lisa da tune ya sound fresh!!!

  • Big up all the Jamaicans on this page! Love this video from back then and the song was slamming! Big up Fame FM dem for bussing this song in Jamaica! Lisa Fischer was a big singer and How Can I Ease the Pain was a big #1 song in Jamaica. Save Me is Fierce!

  • USA

  • A true Kevin! Nuff said.

  • I although find the album version better than this remix. What a shame she released only one full length album and nver scored a real big hit or more hits.SHe´s got that voice you´ll only find one in a million and she´s so beautiful too.

  • HINRG77: You obviously didn't pay any attention to the R&B charts back then. "How Can I Ease the Pain" was fucking HUGE, are you serious???? And all those years backing Luther Vandross and duetting and appearing in his videos!! Put down the Ace of Base records and do some homework, bruh...

  • You can be sure I do my homework always good.

How can I ease the pain was a moderate hit but didn´t make the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and even not in Europe.

Kim English for example had many hits on the Dance Charts but was she huge because of that??

Even Nightlife didn´t chart well on the Billboard Hot 100 and I think this is the chart show everything depends on,isn´t it.

    Don´t think I don´t like her,it´s only what I think about it.

  • you are exactly right it doesn't matter how high a song a song gets on the chart it doesn't mean that the song is not as great as the one that made #1 sometimes a low rated song is better than those of others who win awards for their song lol it's all about judgement

  • why is there orgasmic moans?

  • hehehe I been trying to figure that out for the longest I have the album and I keep playing that beginning over and over trying to figure out why it's in there. I don't know I guess it's in there for sound effect like the woman moaning like she doing the do on Michael Cooper's "Engine # 9" and Lorenzo's "I Can't Stand the Pain"

  • MERCO80... As the old Bud Dry commercial used to say: Why ask why?? Just enjoy! It's such a beautiful and sensual sound. That was the whole point! I mean, how hard is that to figure out...?

  • MIGNONHENNE: Are you serious with this question? Do you have any understanding of music in general???

  • Won't you save me? I love it.

  • She is the bomb! I love Lisa Fischer! I think this is one of David Morales remixes he did for the single release! Ok, so it didn't set the charts alight but it murdered the dance floors! She has voice that soars & soars & would love to hear this out again!! You don't get really big soulful diva-esque dance tracks like this anymore! A real shame!!

  • Although I like the album version of this song better than this remix, the video is pure 90's: bold lettering, hot colors and Djimon Hounsou!!!

  • I remember this from Demi-Sec (Discotheque) back in 1991. I never knew there was a videoclip!

  • I remember that track...brings back memories!!!

Hot song back in the day!!!

  • She should come back as soon as possible because she is a great singer with a great voice too. She needs to sing and put more albums out next year. Please come back.

  • Lisa is one of THEEEEEE best singers of all time. Voice like a voice!!! Damnnn Especially in Ease the pain.

  • She was wearing the mini dress, beautiful legs

  • woahh love this song, love also so so much the hit wow can I ease the paism, lisa fischer its an mazing vocalisty, one of the greatest ive never seen and so underrrated, nothing to compare at maryah carey and withney houston which I dont understand why people are tryng to compare with lisa, for me its a different worls, lisa fischer its comparable witl anita baker, phyllis hyman, rachelle ferrell

  • Mariah can't hold a candle to Lisa. Lisa would have Mariah get of the stage, grab a seat, get a pen and a pad out and take notes.

  • Boy, MERCO80, YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!! And I've always loved and recognised Mariah's talent. From Day One in 1990. Yes, I have. But Lisa Fischer?? Man, please.... Lisa blows her away any day... ANY day, ANY hour that she's pitted against Mariah. No question. Whatsoever. No instant replay required.

  • Love Mariah but must agree... Lisa is no joke.... School is in session

  • How does Lisa blow Mariah away? Better yet, why do we always have to pit talented black women against each other? Mariah, Lisa, Whitney, Anita, Rachelle, Phyllis, Toni, Chante, etc. are ALL talented women and I see no need to constantly compare them against one another.

  • ok well whose more famous then, hmmmmm, how can I ease the pain she pwned on that one but her vs mariahs emotions high note solo dont think so

  • @merco80 lol i don't think so.

  • @merco80 i think your wrong, but mariha hit higher then Lisa, don't get me wrong.

  • @maxday1000 Mariah may can go slightly higher than Lisa, just slightly though and Lisa has better control over it than Mariah. Lisa is classically trained and she can hold than notes forever. Lisa has about 4-5 octaves easily!

  • @kmaur21 thats like when people say destiny's child sing better then TLC, but yes all together tho.

when i hear Kelly and michelle sing by they self, its not really that powerful. i think chilli sing better the Kelly and michelle put together, her voice is more soulful then theirs. then people started saying, destiny's child dance better then TLC, now we know that not true at all lol.......

  • @merco80 At Mariah?! WHAT the heck are you talking about you freak?! Mariah and Lisa have two completely different textures, tones to their voice... mariah is a PHENOMINAL singer, have you even looked at her earlier work? Watch Mariah at her peak in MADISON SQUARE GARDENS 1996... and also watch Vanishing by mariah live... i love BOTH of these fantastic singers.

  • can somebody please post the video for me the "so intense" video please.

  • isn't that the dude from gladiator??????

  • Yes it is! But I don't know what his name is.

  • His name is Djimon Hounsou. He was a model before ha started acting.

  • man she was so fine.....nuff said

  • Lisa... PLEASE come out with a new CD and SAVE us all!!!!

  • I love this song. I also miss the music of '91. I wish Lisa would save me from the mediocre music that's out today by making another album.

  • Child, this is my song!!! Lisa is blowin'!! We need singers like her today so bad!Go on Lisa. Save me!

  • the BEST singerz never get their propz da way they should....i wish lisa would do some new shit....oh and btw, this is a CLASSIC house joint

  • Another sampling of a great voice that few relize as been involved in music for along time and with the likes of The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner and one and on. Great, great voice

  • This was a hit in the summer of 91. I was 14 at the time. IT was a time when house music was big.

  • I fucking love this song. A lost Art!!!

  • I prefer the album version, it's more intese.

  • she was a two hit wonder instead a one hit wonder. so whoever said that she was a one hit wonder that is not true.

  • Lisa Fischer is a one hit wonder..'Save Me' wasn't a big hit like 'How Can I Ease the Pain'..'Save Me' was a Top 10 hit on both the Hot Dance (#2) and Hot R&B Singles (#7) charts..but it wasn't a hit on the Hot 100 (#74)Singles chart.

  • Who cares how many "hits" an artist has? The only questions are

    1 Was their work beautiful?

2 Did it touch people and/or add to the world in a positive way

  • What is the point of this post. With her one hit lisa Fischer has one of the best voices of this generation. Commercial success has everything to do with marketting, so blame her record company. The only wonder she is, is WONDERFUL!

  • MISSINGCAIRO: I am now silenced by your simplicity. I have no more to say - you said it all. You channeled this entire sentiment straight from my mind to YouTube. :-)

  • Damn.. I loved this song! I liked the other mix, DM2 mix, used to be my shit!

  • Go Brooklyn girl!

  • Wildflower is such an amazing song!!!

  • What a voice, what a diva!

  • Life is a little bit better w/YOUTUBE cause you can see anything you want without having to wait for it on cable music channels that arn't going to show it anymore.even you guys that created YOU TUBE did a very excellent job making this available.. CARRY ON..

  • Great singer with mediocre material. Too Bad. This was the follow-up to How Can I Ease The Pain which was PHENOMINAL. Wish she had hooked up with better writers.

  • Yes....using this song as a follow-up was a mistake. This song should've come first since it was a faster beat. Then "How Can I Ease The Pain" could've followed.

  • I agree 100%. I guess marketing is tricky. I wonder what she's up to these days.

  • She's currently still with the Stones. And honestly...when you hear her perform on songs like "I'll Go Crazy" with the Stones...you can tell people expect to see her and her voice. ;) They do treat her well and give her the opportunity to show people why they chose her in the first place.

  • OMG.......I've been hoping somebody would eventually post this video.......THANK YOU!

  • I don't remember this song at all!!!

  • That's where I think her success really came from, because Luther always made sure you knew who his people were on tours, etc. He was very generous to his people.

  • i love this song i even got the CD but i like The original version better this one is shorter

  • AWESOME TRACK. I love this song and still spin it from time to time when I'm doing the club thing. Thanks for sharing the video.

  • Love Love Love Lisa, but I think this is one of the first times that I actually prefer the album version over the single remix. Still, this should have been an even bigger hit on the pop charts. Thanks for sharing!

  • I was looking for this video, thanx

  • Is that Djimon Hounsou in the background? And if so, which video did he appear in first - this one, or Janet's "Love Will Never Do Without You"?

  • i think it is im not sure but i think so cuz i was lookin at pics from da movie Biker Boyz and he looks similar to Djimon Hounsou

  • Yes it is Djimon and he did Janet's first.

  • it was hard being a sing im the early 90's especially with this particular. mariah's ass was out so competition was big.

  • I don't know why people consider her a 1-hit wonder. This song hit Number 2 on Billboard's Hot Dance Chart and Number 7 on Billboard's R&B Chart. The single "So Intense" was moderate Top 20 (Number 15)hit on Billboard's R&B Chart. Just because she did not chart on the Hot 100 with more singles, doesn't mean she is a 1-hit wonder.

  • Lisa Fischer sang "On the Upside" in 1983 under the name Xena.

  • oh i was wondering if u new where to get the song

  • OH BABY BOY !!! GREAT POST ...

  • THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH!!! xXxXxXx

  • Thxs!!
