Yes....using this song as a follow-up was a mistake. This song should've come first since it was a faster beat. Then "How Can I Ease The Pain" could've followed.
She's currently still with the Stones. And honestly...when you hear her perform on songs like "I'll Go Crazy" with the Stones...you can tell people expect to see her and her voice. ;) They do treat her well and give her the opportunity to show people why they chose her in the first place.
That's where I think her success really came from, because Luther always made sure you knew who his people were on tours, etc. He was very generous to his people.

How can I ease the pain was a moderate hit but didn´t make the Top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 and even not in Europe.
Kim English for example had many hits on the Dance Charts but was she huge because of that??
Even Nightlife didn´t chart well on the Billboard Hot 100 and I think this is the chart show everything depends on,isn´t it.

@maxday1000 Mariah may can go slightly higher than Lisa, just slightly though and Lisa has better control over it than Mariah. Lisa is classically trained and she can hold than notes forever. Lisa has about 4-5 octaves easily!

when i hear Kelly and michelle sing by they self, its not really that powerful. i think chilli sing better the Kelly and michelle put together, her voice is more soulful then theirs. then people started saying, destiny's child dance better then TLC, now we know that not true at all lol.......

Lisa Fischer is a one hit wonder..'Save Me' wasn't a big hit like 'How Can I Ease the Pain'..'Save Me' was a Top 10 hit on both the Hot Dance (#2) and Hot R&B Singles (#7) charts..but it wasn't a hit on the Hot 100 (#74)Singles chart.

Yes....using this song as a follow-up was a mistake. This song should've come first since it was a faster beat. Then "How Can I Ease The Pain" could've followed.

She's currently still with the Stones. And honestly...when you hear her perform on songs like "I'll Go Crazy" with the Stones...you can tell people expect to see her and her voice. ;) They do treat her well and give her the opportunity to show people why they chose her in the first place.

I don't know why people consider her a 1-hit wonder. This song hit Number 2 on Billboard's Hot Dance Chart and Number 7 on Billboard's R&B Chart. The single "So Intense" was moderate Top 20 (Number 15)hit on Billboard's R&B Chart. Just because she did not chart on the Hot 100 with more singles, doesn't mean she is a 1-hit wonder.
