The whole asset sales thing is Labour trying to scare people. 51% is a controllong share. Key has said he will introduce a law so that one person or entity can have a max of 10% of the shares. Nzers will get the first chance. The most likely group to buy are KiwiSaver funds which at the moment have very little options to invest in NZ. They invest heavily in Aussie companies. CGT will no fund all Labour's promises and depress the housing market even more therefore the tax take is less.

Cunliffe you are an absolute wanker, and you want to roll PG. Only 5% of our assets are going to be sold to pay down debt. If you had a rental property and the mortgage is 300p/w and the rent is 250p/w, you would sell the house as you can't afford it, same with selling 5% of NZ total assets.
