I am not a pilot however I seem to recall reading somewhere that, at least at night, you want to be off the center-line for added visibility (so aircraft doesn't blend in with the center-line lights. Maybe someone who flies could confirm.
What an asshole. That prick Captain must be a real gem to fly with. What was that GHEY flick of the wrist telling the F/O to add power? What a putz. For those non pilots out there commenting on the rough runway and the tire pressure, please stop. There is nothing wrong with that airplane or the runway. Non-Professionals do not care about passenger comfort or simple common sense. The thought of coming off the centerline by a foot to eliminate the jarring & noise never crossed this guy's mind.
Well he hit every centerline light on the airport. No call outs?? Lower Display uint in test. Inav at 150 mile scale?? First Officer adds the power??Who in the heck is in charge of an abort. The Captain is busy selecting every button on the guidance panel while his "trusty" FO is sitting on his hands. Mr Dassault would be turning over in his grave after the amount of time they spent developing the procedures for this plane. I don't think I would of wanted this video posted with me flying.
is there really like 4 seconds of delay in between the time when you throttle up and when the engine actually spools? Or did the sound just not get captured?
@carpetrug01 I think I read somewhere that there's at least an 8-second delay? Probably less with the newest jets, but I would still expect a slight delay.
@Coderoid most gas turbine/ jet engines have a 5 to 8 second spool up while the fuel and air is ignited and slowly starts to spin up the intake fan i think the airbus had a 5 second delay
@VineBuzz the nose gear is hitting the lights positioned on the center of the runway, and as in the cockpit you're right above the nose wheel you can hear it loudly.
Nice video. How long was the flight from L.A. to N.Y.? Just curious.

HAHA, maybe his eye sight isn't the best so he uses the braille standard departure.

My car used to make the same sound on the highway - until I fixed the flat.

Should of had em balance the tires before putting the spinners on the wheels.

You're dead on on that one! We used to say for every center line "dot" you hit you owe the FO a beer! This guy would go broke!!

Cool clip & awesome plane! Sounds like a train while taking off 0:29 :-) Must have been quite a rough runway. Thumb up from me!

I can't stand a plane without a center yoke. Looks awkward, as if the plane flies you and not you flying the plane. Just my $0.02...

When I prep for take off, I always line the craft just a bit right of the center lights. It's easier on the tires and frame. Just my 2 cents.

He has centered ALL the runway center lights :D no-one missed

Why do people intentionally ride the nose wheel over the center line lights?
Have some mercy on the tyres. How about a one foot offset?

You know. There is a car company, that has dreamed to be a major player in air industry for decades. It is Honda.
The future aircraft maker.

All jets sound like that as the nose gear is right beneath you...

It sounded like the tires needed a little more air just before lift off.
