  • @blackhorse099 Thank You!

  • Very nice lesson!

  • @electrickithara Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. If your interested in more like it, I just started a brand new free weekly lesson series. You can check it out by going here: rockguitarpower(dot)com/weeklylessonseries

  • @electrickithara Thank You!

  • Wow! Thank you so much! You answered all my power chord questions so simply and in one video. So far, all the songs I've learned are basically all power chords. By the way, I have the same guitar (but it's pink - don't judge)! :3

  • @otakuJami Thanks for the comment! And don't fret about owning a pink guitar. Chicks love em. I had a hot pink Ibanez, straight out of the 80's. Awesome guitar!

  • @rockguitarpower Cool (nice pun btw)! Now that I got the hang of this finger muting, I'm gonna go jam on my pink guitar now! Thanks again! You're videos are great.

  • Thank you so much! Finally someone who just teaches you the chords and says what they are, thankyou! Keep it simple! You are the man!

  • @12988Jake Thanks Jake! I appreciate the kind words. I always try to get straight to the point with whatever I teach.

  • Really good lesson!

  • whats the definiton of the setting in the amp?

  • Whenever I change powerchords from the E to the A string in quick succession, they seem to sound a bit 'hoppy'. (If that makes sense.) How can I make the two chords sort of melt into the other? Appreciate the help. :)

  • Nice show-off at the end :D otherwise this video actualy explains power chords unlike other videos that only show-off their 'SKiLzz"

  • @maximare1 Thanks man! I appreciate the positive comment.

    Mike

  • power chord-riff is that the same thing?

  • Okay =D

But really, I learned from this! They just wouldn't sound good.. but now they do! Thanks Dude :D

  • That was great, really easy to understand. You are a good teacher. Dont mind them that say it was condescending, you so were not. Ive just had a brief introduction to power chords at the end of my lesson today. Im looking forward to next week after looking at that.

  • Really, really clear. Thanks

  • This was a good lesson.

Thanks man, for sharing your knowledge.

  • thanks just started playing guitar after that vid my power chords sound a lot better

  • thanks i've been having trouble but that all worked

  • your a ntural teacher. please keep posting

  • 0:01

  • i dunno why, im left handed and have a right handed guitar but i physically cannot play power chords

  • you should really get a left handed guitar

my dad is left handed and im right handed and i play his left handed guitar just for kicks, but its like relearning everything all over again and getting use to different fingerings.

you should really get a left handed guitar OR just switch the nut around so you can switch the strings around as you would on a lefty

  • thanks man, i needed that for some of my covers.

  • i think power chords are too easy

  • well theyre not really any more easy than your average chord. the only chords that are more difficult are barre chords. the only complex thing about power chords is that u need accurate strumming, and probably will want to use muting, etc.

  • Really good vid! Thanks!

  • Extremely helpful...
