They won't come to Skyteam because Korean Air will bully the shit out of them. Personally, I hope they do. Korean Air wants $4000 for a business class flight to Tokyo and JAL wants $8000. Who would YOU pick?
@homer30 well, i think its because the japanese government owns JAL, and even though they lose money on the airline, they keep it running becuase of japanese citizens use it to travel
This video is pretty interesting, does that make me a nerd? We might be able to work together. I help people who have file bankruptcies get a cash settlement
@CASF2007 You're talking in America's perspective, but for Korea whose in corporate warfare with Japan, their loss is our benefit. Besides if US corporations made as much profit as Japan does in its homeland, US government's deficit would not be attributed by Japan.
That is assuming that US corporations don't commit tax evasion.
Nothing personal against the staff of JAL, but I like watching Japan burn to the ground, because their loss is our benefit. Financially and spiritually.
@CASF2007 They're probably rehired by whoever that purchase the remnants of JAL. Personally I hope the unemployed workers of JAL are permanently listed on Japan's unemployment rate. I hate Japan so much...
@miniscus5 They were mounting on deficit, and their only option of bailout was doomed to fail. It was either quit now and gather what they can or face mounting debt and eventual prison sentence.
Japan Airlines falls, stand by America, which American airline will follow? Between the rocketing fuel costs, the terrorists, the always out of date computerized control towers, and people fed up with being physically/emotionally abused by screeners, not to mention the costs to fly - people only fly when they have no other choice. How many times do you want to be groped, while Umar the Fruit of the Boom Bomber boards and sets his drawer on fire to blow up the flight? Aviation has gone to hell.
@BertGriffin88 Nope. Aside from JAL other pacific airliners are at its peak. Along with Canadian airline and much of South America and Africa and Europe. It's just US and Middle East. Aviation continues its excellence of service to humanity.
JAL is flying 60% of domestic flights with half empty planes and worst part is everyday or twice a day flying half empty planes to all destinations. So this proves japanese efficient management myth is no better than the others.

It's quite sad to see that a Flagship airline to fall miserably. But what was shocking was that the airline is worth less than a jumbo jet...

JAL should have offered "bukkake specials," on all flights, on the female waitresses!
That would have got them out of bankruptcy, for sure!
