  • :47 to :52, very very slow- he should have lost his head

  • @bamboo4tameshigiri 180 degree reversal

  • 6:01 WTF???????????

  • Could someone please explain the practical application of locking tsubas around the 1:00 mark? I know quite a bit of kenjutsu but my specialty is post Renaissance Western sword disciplines, and to try forcing a cut over a sabre would be a death sentence. Insisting on a cut creates a fulcrum point where the sabre ran easily make several different ripostes, my personal choice in that situation would be curving the point in under the collarbone.

  • @UJS8X Don't know but what you say sounds logical to me.

  • @UJS8X hello, this is just an example application. its not a definitive combat application. as you know there's a thousand ways to do things. one reason in moving foward and touching that way is to remove the spacing that allows the other person to attack.

  • @6:01 tis a phatom at the side of the screen D:

  • :D This is very similar to what we are learning in Tachiuchi no Kurai. The ukenagashi was beautiful, just like yonhonme in kendo kata.

  • @kendoka0girl All Setei Iai Kata was comissioned by the ZNKR to be created by the grand master Masoka of MJER, the Grand master of SMR and a few others, if you kata looks like this its because it directly originated from this Koryu style.
